Was art, dance, theatre, books, travel; now books, net, music, travel, archaeology, etymology, window shopping - and I guess a ton of other things. ........................ Now I can't wait..........................................GUY SEBASTIAN TOURING ................................WITH THE MGS...........................................STEVE CROPPER, DUCK DUNN, LESTER SNELL, STEVE POTTSFEB/MARCH 2008
I'm a bit boring myself, I'm a listener. So I need talkers, probably. Steve Cropper, John Fry, Guy Sebastian, Terry PratchettI think I've met most people I'm interested in, and if not yet, I'm sure I will. I usually do. Almost always, without fail. Great huh?
Some classic, The very occasional operatic highlight Nearly all light classical, Musicals, Ravi Shankar, Guy Sebastian's music, Nat King Cole, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Bocelli, Steve Cropper, Don "Duck" Dunn, Steve Potts, Lester Snells & his so talented wife, Gary Pinto, & CHECK OUT HAPPENSTANCE! the list goes on..GUY SEBASTIAN - DVD/CD FINALLY here, The Memphis Tour with the CD carrying the live tracks from the show. The Memphis Album going global in 2009, with his own official 5th album (to be released mid 200 - unofficial 5th is with the DVD, don't miss THAT one because it has more songs on it}There are concerts with 70 piece Army Bands around Australia late 2008 booking now excerpt from reviews from obvious converts"SEBASTIAN IS A GENUINELY RARE TALENT, A CHARISMATIC SINGER WITH NOT JUST A SENSATIONAL VOICE BUT WITH GREAT FEEL, A PERFORMER THAT KNOWS HIS PLACE IN A SONG.""ASTONISHING!""STAGE PRESENCE MORE THAN PEOPLE TWICE HIS AGE." This critic went there purely for Steve Cropper only, but states .."and yet, despite watching Cropper play so fast that his hands appeared to be melting, MY EYES AND EARS KEPT BEING DRAWN BACK TO SEBASTIAN HIMSELF." The latest new one we've heard is on Oct 17, big special show, Katie Noonan also there. And NOW booking, extra special Live and By Request shows (Melb. and Sydney atm) with his 10 pce band see ticketek The thing is - I love music, but not that 'discord' stuff, nor anything TOO baroque, I love brilliant musician/singers, but so many songs start really well and then 'die'. Very frustrating, that they don't keep it going. Sometimes some songs are too long, need clipping, for pizzaz. Sometimes its like a painting, when its been overworked. Ditto, for some songs and music. and with thanks to Whitney, Boofydog, Teensmum, Nanouk, JenIris, Cyn & Lyrical and others - may blessings fall upon you :) Guy Sebastian and Olivia Newton John with "Summer Nights" (at present Guy is so busy everywhere that its hard to catch all the venues/shows) GUY SEBASTIAN w. Steve Cropper, Duck Dunn & MGs Check out Happenstance. Their first clip, they have an EP on Itunes, and are here on Myspace. GREAT BAND with a GREAT FUTURE. Hope they keep entirely focused. Undertones of the Beatles perhaps? Guy Sebastian's amazing TV performance on Channel 9 Today show of (Sittin in)The Dock Of the Bay Feb. 08. While the audio here isn't perfect (it was on TV however,) check that resonance and rich vocal quality GUY SEBASTIAN and the fabulous Mr GARY PINTO, 2006 free-styling "Let's Stay Together" and having FUN! Taken with just a handheld camera, it just shows what a talented pair these two artists are! GUY & HIS WORLD YOUTH DAY SONG 2008 "RECEIVE THE POWER" with Paulini (written with Gary Pinto) - Available on WYD site, and through various digital download areas ALL AROUND THE WORLDGuy Sebastian and Steve Cropper, Duck Dunn, Lester Snell, Steve Potts and the band. At the moment, my favourite performance by Guy of this song. As he evolves, and goes with the song and the music, I expect more performances will become my favourite. Guy Sebastian in 2003 with judges comments. Guy was a true artist then, and now its almost 5 years down the track!
Hot Fuzz!!! (good grief, thought this was gonna be like an Agatha Christie movie! how many 40gallon drums of tomato sauce did they use? I can't believe I laughed so much, in the middle of such much mayhem!)
Okay, TV? Time Team, Grand Designs, Talking Heads, Rove, want a good variety show around 8.30pm please, with GOOD music and bands (not necessarily top 40 bands - the 2 things do not always go together), Loved It Takes Two with Guy, didn't have time this year, DWTS is good sometimes. Thank God You're Here, Spicks & Specks - we look at TV when we feel like it (except for the 2 1stnamed), Sunrise but we work, Antique Roadshow, ABC LOTS because they're quirky & interesting. Oh and So You Think you Can Dance! Love that one. But some of the choreographers bring the downfall of good dancers and that realllllly sux. And I find that pretty unforgiveable, because it does unfort. mean that some dancers start their session behind the 8ball.
