Singer/songwriter Amy Pearson is new, hugely talented debut artist whose career is on track for a sure-fire trajectory to the top of the charts both in Australia, and around the globe.
Her infectious rock/pop style and soulful delivery, combined with an array of well-written and notably well-executed songs, has those in the know already very excited about her flair and her global potential. Amy’s debut album “Ready To Flyâ€, released via the Sony BMG label, is an introduction to a young lady whose destiny, fuelled by a globe-trotting twist of fate, finds her emerging out of Australia as an international pop star on the rise.
Growing up in Birmingham in the UK, Amy was a talented young performer who began to unlock her artistic providence at a very early age; beginning to sing at the age of 3, and beginning her songwriting path at the age of 6, it wasn’t long before performing in bands and taking part in talent competitions through her teenage years that she was then earmarked as a young artist with standout potential. Through some contacts at a production company she was working with at the time, Amy came to the attention of one of the UK’s most successful and talented songwriters, Gary Barlow (from Take That). Impressed with Amy’s striking talent and prospects, Barlow helped to point her in the right direction with global industry introductions that resulted in Amy working closely with a future Australian A&R manager for SonyBMG. Through this introduction and a certain twist of fate, Amy Pearson found herself moving to Australia, and signing to SonyBMG records at 17 years of age, under the guidance of A&R Guru David Massey (Anastasia/Good Charlotte/Lulu) and SonyBMG’s Chairman/CEO Australia & New Zealand Denis Handlin.
