Blasphemous Hymns of anti-Christian warfare!

About Me

Cataglyphis started in late 2001. Collin Carter and Chris McClelland put their heads together to create SWLA's first black metal band. Being veterans of the local music scene in several bands, they searched for the rest of the line up. Enlisting Mike Beshears, Gary Marquez, and Wanyo, all former members of Headshot, the band was complete. While writing songs it became clear that the things were not going as planned. After many unproductive months and continuous drummer problems, the search for a new drummer became top priority. With the addition of Shannon Harris the band was complete. Enthusiastic about their new drummer the band began a relentless rehearsal schedule. After refining the older songs Chris, Mike, and Collin started writing new material. During this period the band also hired keyboard player Erik Easton. After numerous shows this line up, Collin resigned as vocalist thus turning the duties over to Gary. A few months later, Eric left the band also. However, the 4 piece kept the band going strong. The old set has been refined and new material is being rehearsed intensely.
