Starless Long Island Giant

About Me

I'm a down to earth guy that is very straight up and doesn't play games. The most recent challenge I've taken on is going back to school. I'm a Cisco Network Academy Student. My goals are to become CCNA and CCDA certified. After those I would like to continue training and earn the CCNP, CCDP, and CCVP certifications. On top of those I would like to add the A+ and N+ certifications which are vendor neutral and well recognized throughout the Computer Networking and Telecom field. I had a lot of success with the first course I took and am very excited about the next one. My luck with anything hasn't been this good in a long time. It is a lot of work and time that I have to dedicate to it, but I am confident if I keep working hard at it I will be successful and pass the tests to become certified.

I like to do a wide variety of things, the list is endless. I love traveling and exploring new places. I range from a Rustic Campground to a 3 star motel when I travel (more stars if I get a rate I can afford) I can go from working under the hood of a car (kinda funny people say under the hood when half the time I'm fixing something I'm under the actual car) to a kitchen and throw something together (I can make quite a few things well). My vehicles are marked with my DNA I've gottan sliced many times working on them. Yes I'm some what idiot proof I know my way around most house hold things with out screwing them up like most guys do.

Seeing concerts. To see a concert I wanted to see sometimes I would jorney to an area within a reasonable drive when it was more conveinant to see a show. The best venue I think I have been to is Lupos Heart Break Hotel in Providence, RI. Some others I like are the The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY Northern Lights in Clifton Park, NY Starland Ballroom Sayerville, NJ Roseland in New York City and The Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. Some arenas I like are Madison Square Garden in New York City, The Centrum Worcester, MA Continental Airlines Arena East Rutherford, NJ and Utica Memorial Auditorium Utica, NY. The worst place I've ever seen a concert is Nassau Colesium that sound system there is awful you can't hear any of the acoustics on there system. Most of all a nice summer night you can't be seeing a show at Jones Beach what a unique and awsome venue.

Now that I went of on a Tangent back to me. I love dining out, I know a few nices places near some beaches that are really good. Some of the beaches are small where you can go for a nice peaceful walk on a nice night, (almost got locked in one one night funny story to tell when talking to someone) I also like just relaxing at the beach or being in the ocean on a boogie board (That was more fun when I weighed less). I don't know the clubs very well cause I'm not a big dancer but I love going into NYC for many different things. Driving in there doesn't bother me too much. Depending what I'm doing some nights just rather hop in my vehicle instead of waiting for a train.

Nothing can beat seeing a game at Yankee Stadium. Whether there winning or losing (of course we always want a win). They should be something to watch this up coming season, aquiring Damon from Boston. YANKEES RULE!! Besides Baseball, I do like Hockey not as much as I used to since the strike kinda hard to get back into it. I like the Rangers. !!!LETS GO RANGERS!!! A game at MSG is something else. Pretty good when you use public transportation you go up some stairs and your in the arena. I even ventured over to Jersey to a Devils vs. Rangers game. There arena was pretty good, there tickets were cheap, but they don't like the fans of the rival (of course I'm whereing my big Rangers Starter Jacket that night) I've also gone to a Ranger vs. Islander game at the Islanders home rink, that night I was sitting with almost a whole section of Ranger fans so it was pretty cool. If you ask me the road team had more fans than the home team. My best memory was the Stanley Cup playoffs when the Rangers one the cup in 94. I was a Freshman in High School then. I do like the Giants when it comes to football. Knicks when it comes to basketball to boring to watch that Sport after awhile. I think that covers all of New Yorks major Sports teams.

To sum all this up I like being out a lot more than just staying home. Some nights I can stay in relax for the most part I like being out doing things and going places. Many more pics I'd like to post but I see there is a limit. Oh well, if I find away to add more under a blog or bulletem or something they will be there.

My Interests

My interest have a wide variety. I love to travel. Been all over the North Eastern United States, Niagara Falls, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec Canada, Chicago, IL (awsome city) and Virginia Beach, VA (what a nice place to vacation, time practically stood still there) Many other places still to visit and conquer would love to go cross country many spots picked out to hit up already, and would love to go up to Prince Edward Island in Canada. My list will never end cause I will always find someplace new I want to go.

I love to go camping (some of my adventures around the North East USA) hang out at the beach, tour wineries and go tasting, exploring and touring major cities. I always love finding out and learning something new. I like cars, computers and the internet. Will add to this as I think of more things.

I'd like to meet:

People with similar interest, or that are just curious to know more about my world. A gal that is real, that gives me the respect and compassion I want out of a relationship, and doesn't play games, but can be very playful at times. Most of all one that doesn't change a few months after you know them, and is not phony or fake. I may not right away but after awhile I can see through those types of people and they will not last long with me at all. I have no tolerance for somethings what so ever and I don't need people wasting my time, because I don't have enough of it in my life for all the things I have going for me. Most of all someone who is just as adventurous and crazy as me. Say all this talk about me getting certifications some wonder if I got some awhile ago.

I would never describe a perfect person because people are too unique and shine in their own ways, sometimes ways I never even imagine.

Music:

One of my favorites I've seen roughly 35 bands the first half of this century. I like Rock and Alternative mostly. Long Island had a new Radio staion for awhile after all these years. Unfortunately there no longer on FM but check it out on the Web at http://www.radiox.fm. Most of the music I like gives society its much needed kick in the ass, and also deals a lot with things that happen in life in general. For instance the down times after a breakup, or the struggles we face in relationships or at particular times in our lives.

My top shows I've seen: Take Action Tour 2007 Avenged Sevenfold, with Coheed and Cambia who did dual headling roles, and had another bands called Eighteen Visions with them. Just when I think no other band can top some of the performances I've seen along comes A7X. These guys Rock and put on some show. The Fall Brawl Tour (Staind, POD, Taproot, and Flyleaf) Snow Core Tour 2005 (Chevelle, Crossfade, Future Leaders of the World, and Strata) K Rocks Clause Fest 2004 the last one they ever did (Velvet Revolver, Korn, Jimmy Eat World, Franz Ferdinand, Papa Roach, and Chevelle) Family Values Fall 2001 (Stone Temple Pilots, Staind, Linkin Park, Static-X, and Deadsy) Wake the Fuck Up Tour (Godsmack, Staind, Cold, and Systematic)
Other than those been to many small shows Can't forget U2's elevation tour at MSG tickets were an arm and a leg but it was worth it.

The bands I like of course don't like eveyone I've seen, Avenged Sevenfold (A7X) Five.Bolt.Main Staind Cold Linkin Park Systematic Papa Roach Godsmack Trapt Trust Company LoPro Reach 454 (now known as Fight of Your Life) Die Trying (now known as Vanitykills) Taproot Chevelle Flaw Strata Crossfade Smile Empty Soul Puddle of Mud Finch U2 Rush
There are so many others I could keep going on about, I am a big fan of music, especailly live.

For those of you Staind fans I have there first album that was never released comercially. Some good stuff on there its title is Tormented.

Movies:

I have one of the best movie theatures in my neighborhood, there is a bar right in it. Any thing funny, scary, or interesting. I love horror seens I'm not a sicko I swear, but I love the effects and what goes into creating those illusions. A few times I seen some of the behind the seens stuff, sometimes it can take a whole day to make a 2 minute seen.

Some favorites, Scream, American Pie, I know What You Did Last Summer, South Park, A Dirty Shame (be shocked if any one knows this one), Almost Famous, Bordello of Blood, and Devils Rejects.

I've seen so many so hard to list and think of everyone I like. I also like ones that can take a sudden turn and really surprise you, I would have to say those are my favorites and comedies.

Television:

Everwood (disapointed their run has ended after 4 years) The O.C. (will probably lose interest in that soon) One Tree Hill (kinda dumb show but makes you want to watch knowing how crazy those years can be and some of the people I knew around me)

Love watching Sports on TV but nothing beats being at the game.

Sometimes just a Channel Hopper. Those are the times when I come across the most interesting things.

Other shows to highlight: Simpsons (there Halloween specials never get old) Adult Swim (what else is on at that hour when I'm looking to fall asleep. Some of my favorites: Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sea Lab, Robot Chicken (my stomach hurt from laughing at them one night) BoonDocks, Oblongs, Inuyasha, Harvey Birdman Attory At Law, and Lupan (about time the criminal can win sometimes) As one may guess some nights I have trouble sleeping from that last paragraph. Last of all music videos or interviews, and specials.

Books:

I don't do a lot of reading these days, pretty much just a newspaper. When I did read more often I liked Dennis Millers Ranting Again, many Lois Duncan books growing up, Chris Pike, Judy Blume elementary reading years. Bartending books. Cook Books (step by step instructions I can figure out almost anything)

Heroes:

Foot long and overstuffed.
