Capitalism is nice, when performed properly; Tarantino & Coen Bros Flix; "Infectious", "Hook-laden" Pop Rock written by former Southgang guitarists; Pin The Tail on the Democrat; Chicks That Are Married To Me, Guns n Firetrucks; Bowling (read: beer/wings/comraderie) with the fellas on Thursday nights; and last, but actually first, my strength, Alex, Aidan, my wife Tracy, and my myspace miracle, Elaine.
Summer.
Butch, Da 'quid, Fat Arm, Slipknot's first is cool.... if you're planning to break stuff while listening, which sometimes I find myself doing, White Zombie is always cool, old Manson, before he made his first million, Crue, just cuz they are THE rock stars to end all rock stars, Dream Theater for their brilliance, Cheap Trick, Cheap Trick, Cheap Trick (yes, I know) Foo Fighters, Buckcherry, Jet (and their mom Joan), Goo Goo Ga Choos, Queensryche, Jane's Addiction, Metallica's first 3 albums, Vain, KISS, but usually only the songs that Ace sang, Chili Peppers of the Red Hot variety, if I absolutely must listen to rap, make it Outkast, Eminem or something off Kid Rock's first CD..... if I absolutely must listen to country, just kill me first... same with western... they both make me suicidal....I kinda dig some 60's Motown and modern R&B, usually female singers though.... En Vogue, TLC, Destiny's Child, Maria Carey etc.... can't finish with that though, so let's throw in the Ramones, who I fondly remember more often than I actually listen to their music... great live shows. Finally.... this is more than just music, but if you ever get the chance to see the Blue Man Group.... SEE THEM.... you'll thank me later.
Anything with Nicholson.... and outside of that, I'll leave it with the top 5 that come to mind, in no particular order..... Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Big Lebowski, Office Space, Dogma..... oh yeah, forgot Vanilla Sky and Magnolia.... not a huge Tom Cruise fan, but he's in some damn good movies.
Inside the Actor's Studio, Criss Angel Mindfreak, Sopranos, My Name is Earl, The Office, Invasion, Grey's Anatomy (does that make me gay?), Gene Simmons Family Jewels (shock), FrankTV, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiam, most HBO orginal programming, Will & Grace reruns (I think I may be establishing a pattern here), Surreal Life and pretty much any other VH1 original series'.... I guess anything really, as long as it isn't reality TV about the midget family, the 900 lb guy who lost 400 lbs, those douchebags who chase ghosts and would have you believe that they're not total whackjobs, or the family that has 18 children and wants me to NOT call child services on them..... put the d**k down! Step away from the d**k, lady!
I'm a sucker for autobiographies of celebs who fascinate me.... just finished the Heroin Diaries, and I'm halfway through Slash's book..... although this may seem like it couldn't possibly be good, I highly recommend Tommy Lee's book.... its probably the best of all I've read in that genre..... I also have a subscription to and read this magazine called Mental Floss which feeds my vault of useless information, as described in the About Me section. Sorry to make you jump around...
Great show..... save the cheerleader, save the world.
