Dagmar and The Seductones

Hi-Voltage Vintage Rock'n'Roll

About Me

In 2001, Andrea Dagmar Brown put together a band of the best musicians she knew from her years performing in the Washington DC area-- Dagmar and The Seductones !Dagmar and The Seductones' have released two radio-friendly CDs that have been broadcast, podcast and webcast all over the globe. The debut, "Little Bitta Love," was released in 2004, and their second, "Come Back To Me," in 2007: "It swings, it rocks, and truly captures the raw energy of rock & roll that has been largely missing for the past forty years," says DJ Lane Quigley, The Memory Lane Show .Dagmar's vibrant stage presence and the band's unique rockin' sound combine to make Dagmar and The Seductones an entertainment experience. They treat crowds of all ages to their special brand of hi-energy rock'n'roll--at concerts, clubs, and festivals, honky tonks and dives--you name it, they'll rock it!Dagmar’s vocal stylings will take you from the dance floor to the stars above with her sultry, soaring sound. The Seductones set fire to the music, reaching right down to the roots and raving up some red-blooded rhythms. Together, Dagmar and The Seductones make high-voltage, vintage rock and roll!COME BACK TO ME , our new CD, and

COME BACK TO ME
TYM Records 1002
street date: 13 March 2007
A very enjoyable mix of roots musical styles!
-- Current issue of Blue Suede News Clearing easily the bar set by 2004's 'little bitta love,' Dagmar et al continue to mold animated sway-backed blues and countrified rock'n'roll with singular joyfulness. To the extent that good times can be transferred to digital format, they were here.
Recommended Tracks: 'Not My Concern' and 'You Said'
FIVE STARS * * * * *
-- Rockabilly Magazine (issue 37) American Rockin' 4-piece led by great female vocals and featuring fabulous musicians...They play scorching Rockabilly and Rhythm Rockin' Blues..."
-- Raucous Records What they have presented here is a box of chocolates for your aural consumption.
-- Larry Benicewicz, Baltimore Blues SocietyMaybe more blues and less country than the previous one, Dagmar's second album is the perfect complement to their previous effort. You'll find at least one tune to please you on this varied cd (and if you have just one ounce of taste you'll like them all), they even have a song with a Rumba beat, how can't you like them?

LITTLE BITTA LOVE
TYM Records 1001
street date: 14 February 2004
A comfortably confident and knowing combo, Dagmar and company bring good-time, honky-tonk boppin' to our party. Presented with sincere gusto is an enticingly savory amalgam of roots additives that seizes and stirs. Never hyper or hurried, the band instead locates and exercises the pleasure inherent in kicking back and getting in touch with one's inner twang. Whether reinterpreting vintage material, dealing in original upbeat songs or downshifting for exquisite ballads, the group remains sure.
-- D.C. Larson, Rockabilly Magazine If you like Wanda Jackson...Dagmar and the Seductones are for you. A big, bold, beautiful blonde, who sang for the troops far from home, who has sex appeal that won't leave you disappointed, backed by three musicians with impressive resumes, you've got the picture...A very fresh treat, recommended.
-– Le Cri du Coyote Andrea Dagmar Brown, the fiery siren...leads the Seductones' sexy rockabilly charge.
-- The Washington Post tremendous driving sound...great energy...infectious...superb debut
