How I started making my custom toys was back in the late 1960's. At that time, I was employed at a woodworking company. My job here was making pallets. But more importantly, this is where I started making DOLL HOUSES.
Then in the late 1980's this company went out of business, so I sought employment at a lumber yard. One day a man came in with a toy wood truck, looking for scrapwood from us. He was asking my boss, Steve and I for some wood. I stated to him, "...you call that a truck, I can do better than that!" Needless to say, I out gunned him, by making a FLATBED TRUCK for the lumberyard.
From there on, something clicked inside... I started making other trucks for other lumberyards, OIL TRUCKS for oil companies, DUMP TRUCKS, BULL DOZERS, CAR HAULERS, and other heavy equipment. Not to mention, loads of MODIFIED RACING CARS and much, much more....
Then recently, I took a ride to Orange County Choppers, met the guys. I decided to create a CUSTOM TRUCK AND MOTORCYCLE TRAILER for Paul Senior. (Which he displays in his office at OCC. (See if you can spot it on the TV shows)
Starting early in 2006, i went back to "OCC" to find out where Nubgraphics was. After a short drive to Walden, NY and finding Nub. I asked him if I could take a photo of his 1956 Chevy Suburban I told him I was going to make him one. So the next day when I went home, I made four of them! Then driving back to Nubgraphics, I donated two of them to Nub. He was so happy with the work, he gave me two autographed T-shirts. (one I wear, and one proudly displayed on my wall...)
Today, I currently still make my customs. Each one runs strong with unique good old, hand-crafting. If your interested in my customs. Please drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you. I am sure I can make you a custom toy, you'd be proud to show off. My prices are reasonable.
