Music History Federico Lopez grabs his first guitar about 15 years ago.
From 1994 to 1999 he is the lead guitarist/songwriter for a local band from Verona - Italy called 'FFWD' , touring the scene and playing regional music contests.
In January 1999 he starts the 'Y3K' project with local musicians and canadian lyricist B.Smith , that leads to the recording of the EP ALPHA, and the airplay of the first single 'Light of day' on a local FM radio. He is then invited to open a live-aired contest as one-off guest.
In January 2001 Federico moves to London to promote his work on the international scene and he receives appreciations from local musicians, ex-signed artists and music industry insiders , the likes of Eric Clapton's and Roger Waters' session guitarist Andy Fairweather Low.
In Sept. he's selected to showcase his music at premiere London's T.O.S contest and makes his UK live debut at the West One Four (aka The Orange).
As result of some very enthusiastic reviews, on Dec 27th 'Light of day' is 'Rock Track of the Day' at Sir George Martin's US prime music site Garageband.com .
In November 2002 ALPHA receives a warm review on italian major national music magazine Il Mucchio .
In Feb. 2003 he's featured on world known guitar manifacturer Fender website and inducted as 'local hero' guitar player.
At the same time premiere Italian national radio Rai-RADIO 1 features Federico among the new Italian artists and broadcasts his song 'Feed This Love' to a national audience.
In 2005 Federico and his former band "Mass Karma" opens for top italian act Negramaro in front of 5000 people
