It was early 2006 when he penned the first songs.
Paul and Cheviot Scott began experimenting with the songs and decided to produce some rough recordings which included I know a place, Enjoy yourself, I wanna be a Cheviot Hood and the already legendary in its own right, Giro King.
It was around this time when Cheviot Blair first heard the songs. He began jamming with the lads in the summer and it was soon decided he would join the cause on Bass guitar.
A few weeks later the rehearsal rooms were booked, and a drummer was found to join the fold, in the form of Cheviot Euan. On the 1st rehearsal the band bonded immediately, suggesting something magical had just been forged.
The Cheviot Hoodship was born. With only two rehearsals under their belt the lads were booked to play Glasgow Barfly. The first gig went down a storm, promting eight further gigs in the Barfly and five gigs at Glasgows famous King Tuts Wah Wah Hut and glasgow's Club NME,Barrowlands 2,Greenside(fife),Nitespot(livingston),Independant Festival(blackburn),PJ's (dunfermline) Magnum (irvine).Cheviot Hoods have shaped their own style from a number of influences including but not limited to, The Las, Stone Roses, The Who and The sex pistols.
Already gathering an ever increasing local following after support slots with The Complete Stone Roses,Dogs, The Sonic Hearts,Clocks,Grace and Dustins Bar Mitzvah.
These lads are a force to be reckoned with.
