About Me

The Times
This band has been consistently growing in stature and fan-base since their emergence in 2003.They are a five piece rock band from Irvine, Ayrshire and have been one of the more consistent live bands around, they have played some of the most prestigious stages in Scotland including King Tuts and Glasgow’s Carling Academy; it seems the bigger the stage the better the performance. A band that believes pressure is a friend, a band that also believe their time will come and some think it should have came already. They have changed from their early days and now have a more mature sound with songs that fully enhance an already visceral live show that always takes people by surprise. After the release of the new Demo, which is scoring hits from America and all over Europe, the band have emerged from recording at Redeye Studios to play at several venues in the next few months.
Live......
A lot is said about the band playing live, about the energy and emotion, which is nice! The Times take the live show to a new level with every chord stabbed as if it were the last. You've got to give it your all or there is just no point doing it.
Music.......
The Times have recorded several tracks from the snarl of Four Aces and Jack's cure to the rock anthems of The Harder I Try and The Way You Are along with Find The Time and the new Set In Stone which see The Times commercialise but not compromise the all important sound. March 2006 saw the release of the new triple-A side Simple Life, The One and Hit and Run.
Venues……
The Times have played some of the most prestigious stages in Scotland including Glasgow’s Carling Academy.
Scene Support.......
The Times are keen to support the local scene with appearances at Low Wattage, Bigburd Promotions and Eat This Music gigs. © 2005 - 2006
