About Me

My next marathon is the California International Marathon (CIM) in Sacramento on December 2nd this year, and my goal is to run at a pace of 7:15 minutes per mile or faster; that way I would qualify for the Boston Marathon.

The graphic below is to keep track of my training progress. On the X-axis you can see the training day plus the distance run on that day, while you can see the pace (minutes per mile) on the Y-axis. The green and red lines illustrate my San Francisco Marathon pace (July 29th, 2007) and the target pace for the CIM (December 2nd, 2007), respectively. The blue line shows the pace for each training session. The final goal is to run the 26.2 miles at a pace below the red line.

When you let me fall
I grew my own wings
Now I'm as tall as the sky
When you let me drown
I grew gills and fins
Now I'm as deep as the sea
When you let me die
My spirit's free
There's nothing challenging me.

16 miles went well - 2 weeks to go - getting excited/nervous!

On Saturday I ran 6 miles, in the parks and streets of Davis, wearing shoes and my new anti-blister Wright socks. I'm still using the anti-blister patches on my heels, and these help a lot: the bliste...
