Stormy Montana

Hey! Thanks for checking out my page. I’m a singer/songwriter/ guitarist who is working toward a successful career as a recording artist. I was born Stormy Montana Hosey on September 20, 1993. I’ve always sang as Stormy Montana. So, not copying the Disney character Miley Cyrus plays at all…. That’s really my name.
I love to sing and am a pretty good guitarist. I’ve written quite a bit, mostly lyrics – that’s where I shine, but I can’t do that whole “this is the formula to write a song” thing. When I write, it’s about what I see or feel, not random things stuck together. I just can’t make that work.
There are lots of folks who have helped me get to the place I am now. Anna Ross, Bev Eaton, Kevin Lovelace, Teresa Smith, Charley Baker, Dave Brainard, Kris Bergsnes, and Mark Yarnell have all taught me so much. I’ll never be able to thank them enough. My mom is crazy, which helps a lot. She has allowed, even forced, me to be exposed to all kinds of music in all kinds of places. I call it being “musically abused.”
I sing in a wide variety of places. Maybe, I’ll see you at one of them. I open for concerts, sing in bars, at clubs, fairs, festivals, at church, at the lake, conventions, some competitions (but not many), clubhouses and nursing homes…. You get the idea… anywhere they’ll let me.
