Rest in Peace, valiant Agency...2000 -- 2006.

About Me

NEW CD "POLLINATION STRATEGIES" I'm trying like hell to get some songs from theAgency's last offering up here but I lace the MP3 creation capabilities both on my hope computer and @ work. But I'm gonna get four from Pollination Strategies up here A.S.A.P.The Agency arose in 2000, from a concept put forth first by one Idle Rich Groskopf in 1998, from the ashes of a previous Denver group known simply as "Boss 302". Alas, it has fallen in this year of 2006. Like a fine bottle of wine all good things must come to an end...has thedenverAgency ended? For now, yes, but perhaps someday a new vintage will come forth and prove as pure and delicious as the last one, causing a dusting off of songs and a revival of the group in any form...as of yet none can say.The many members (there have been 14 in all) are scattered thereabouts and hereabouts via the routes of life and rock:Idle Rich, the only member present throughout the band's life, is now fronting his new three-piece, Malfleur who has just begun performing on the thriving Denco circuit.Sara Fischer, guitariste' from '02 to '06, is playing bass in Easy to Kill, a rising star of said Denco circuit, and pursuing other musical projects.Jeremy Bates, bassist from '01 to '04, lives in Los Angeles, California where he's enjoying a bustling career as a web-designer.Ben Jacobs, guitarist from '02 to '04, is @ the dawning of a magnificent career as a barrister in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.Craig Gilbert, drummer from '03 to '06, is playing with Denco's own Dressy Bessy and is a proud family man.Mike (the Blade) Jourgensen, who played drums from '00 to '01, and engineered our first four recordings, lives (and assuredly plays guitar) in L.A.Bill Hodo, co-founder and guitarist from '00 to '01, lives somewhere...Denver? Bill, email me back.Brad Stanton, co-founder and bassist from '00 to '01, lives and plays bass and six-string guitar in Wisconsin.Chad Thompson, bassist from '04 to '06, lives in Aurora, Colorado and will soon be fronting his new band.Aaron Roybal, our first drummer and played on our first seveninch, lives in Denver, I think.Dan Gilbertson, drummer from '06 to '06 for our 2nd european tour plays with Denco's own the Geds.Tom McPherson, bassist from '06 to '06 for our 2nd european tour lives and plays guitar in north Denver, bud.Scott Padawar, drummer from '02 to '03, probably lives in Florida and I traded his kit for a guitar. These folk should also be mentioned:Francois Boit -- executive producer of our first 7", tour manager of both '01 and '06 european tours.Kyle Jones -- engineer and co-procucer of Pollination Strategies.Scott Lewis -- fill in drummer.DISCOGRAPHY: "Codname Natasha" four song seveninch e.p. 2000, Schlecht und Schwindlig records, Munich, Germany.Self-titled 10 song L.P. 2001, Schlecht und Schwindlig records, Munich, Germany."Red-Nile/Blue-Nile" 8 song CD, 2004, LABEL records, Denver."Pollination Strategies" 6 song CD, 2006, LABEL /SEF records, Denver.
