Calamity Jane

I am here for Friends

About Me

My real name's Martha Jane Cannary-Burke, but everyone calls me Calamity Jane, or Calam, for short.Just stick on a hundred years an' you'll have my real date of birth. (And I know a lady ain't s'posed to tell her age, but nobody ever accused me of bein' a lady!)I'm the toughest gal around these parts or any other parts I've been! I'll put on a dress if you make me, but that don't mean I won't get it dirty before the day is through. Besides, I cain't wear one nearly as nice as my good friend, Katie Brown, so I don't quite find the point in tryin', most-a the time.I shore do like takin' a wagon or a train out to visit other places, but I always want to be home in Deadwood City before long! Those other spots might be nice and excitin', and what have you, but they ain't got what we got!

My Interests

Shootin', spendin' time at the Golden Garter, watchin' the local entertainment, playin' poker, rescuin' kidnapped Second Lieutenants, seein' Wild Bill make a durned fool of himself, visitin' Chicagee, redecoratin' the house with Katie, and enjoyin' the beautiful Black Hills of Dakota.

Music:

Well, I reckon that there frilled-up Adelaid Adams who all the men folks is mad about ain't too bad... But, me, I prefer less high-falutin' entertainment like Katie Brown and Francis Fryer, who're much more personable and who got two times the talent! And a-course I like singin', myself, from time to time. Some ol' favorite tunes are "The Deadwood Stage (Whip-Crack-Away)", "Introducing Henry Miller", "Hive Full of Honey", "I Can Do Without You", "It's Harry I'm Planning to Marry", "I Just Blew in from the Windy City", "Keep It Under Your Hat", "Higher Than a Hawk", "A Woman's Touch", "The Black Hills of Dakota", and "Secret Love".

Movies:

Maybe I ain't as cultured as them city folk in Chicagee and I don't know the meaning of "movies", but I'd bet you a dime I could outshoot any of 'em without blinkin' an eye!
