CREPITATION HAS EGGS!!! (Playing NRW Deathfest!)

Crepitation are a Brutal Slammin' Death Metal band formed by ex and current members of Sarpanitum (Dan), After The Last Sky (Shane) and Infant Bile (Dan & Matt) at the latter end of 2005 and early 2006. The first line up was completed by the addition of friends Ollie and Paul on vocals, who both made ridiculous larynx noise to accompany the music written by Dan, Shane and Matt. Crepitation are primarily influenced by U.S. styled Brutal Death and the Texan & Columbian Slammin' Death styles.
The 5 members recorded 3 tracks for a Promo CD around March'06 which was designed as a taster of things to come, the tracks were recorded with programmed drums and in one-takes via the internet. The Promo CD was well received by most who got their hands on the limited copies, those who heard the 3 tunes on Myspace or heard them elsewhere, so the band wrote another 2 tracks that were held back from the masses for a Demo CD of all 5 tracks when a human drummer could be found.
Then a Welshman, already friends with some members of the band, heard the Crepitation Promo tracks and was impressed enough to offer his services as a drummer so Lyn was added to the Crepitation ranks in April'06. Lyn also joined Paul's Extreme Metal Promotions company based in Manchester, Clanglestrim Pro-Duck-Shins, who gave Crepitation their 1st 2 gigs in Manchester & Birmingham supporting Insidious Decrepancy, Godless Truth, Infected Malignity & Infected Disarray in May'06.
Just before and some time after the May'06 gigs, original guitarists and founding members, Shane and Dan left the band due to personal issues. Sean from local Brutal band Ingested was added as a replacement for Shane just prior to Dan's departure. Ollie then left the band to fully concentrate on his academic career who was replaced by Morbid Mark from UK Gore band Amputated on Guttural vox. Liam from Theoktony joined on 2nd guitar to replace Dan and then original bassist Matt left, only to be replaced by another Matt from Liverpool on thy Rumblin' Machine.
The band recorded 5 tracks for the "North-West Slam-Fest" 3-Way Split CD along with Kastrated & Ingested which is available now. Two brand new songs were recorded in September'07 which will eventually be mixed and mastered sometime in 2008 purely for Myspace purposes.
Sean and Lyn left the band in January'08 to fully concentrate on Ingested which subsequently led to Crepitation splitting up. (Read blog for more.)
March'08 the band gets back together with session musicians Jonathon Rushforth - Drums, Tom Blackwell and Adam Hooton - Guitars.
