HISTORY:
In Summer 2005 Swobo (guitar, ex-REMAIN) and Nemesis (drums, ex-INSIGNIUM) composed some songs of blasting and gory Death Metal in Hagen/NRW/Germany.
After some rehearsals Marc (bass, DEPRESSION) and Goreminister (vocals, KADAVERFICKER) entered the band to celebrate more brutal, sick musick and the name SORE was born.
In January 2006 the band played the first successful concert in Iserlohn (NRW/Germany) with our other bands and friends of DEPRESSION, INSIGNIUM and REMAIN.
Shortly before the planned first recordings drummer Nemesis left the band. A few weeks later Andi (BEREAVED / STILLBIRTH) joined SORE as the new drummer. SORE proudly announce, that the band played their second gig on the famous NRW DEATHFEST in Wermelskirchen on 16th September 2006.
The next important step was to record the 10 blasting and gory songs in the Sunset Studio of Skaldir (HEL / ELANE / APHELION) and to release them as a full-length CD (incl. videoclip!) on SUFFER PRODUCTIONS.
This brutal and sick release called “Gruesome Pillowbook Tales†is available since Summer 2007!!! The worldwide Death Metal-scene wrote enthusiastic reviews and comments about this first output, read them on this page!
SORE had to change the guitarist in March 2008: Swobo left the band and the new member is Stefan from the Black/Death-band INSIGNIUM.
A strictly limited tape-version (only 150 copies in 3 different colours) of the first album will be released on HORNED RECORDS in Summer/Autumn 2008!
Next planned new release is a split-7"EP with the mighty old-school Death Metal act PAGANIZER from Sweden. Release-date is announced for Autumn 2008 on BLOODRED HORIZON RECORDS from Austria. The 7"EP will be strictly limited to only 500 copies!
The band played many concerts, also on Mallorca/Spain, Switzerland, Portugal and on the famous DEATHFEAST OPEN AIR and on ZABBADUSCHDER OPEN AIR in July 2008.
In Summer 2008 DEATH STAR RECORDS (USA) released a 4-way Split-CD with bands from NRW/GERMANY: BEGGING FOR INCEST, LOW INCISION + STILLBIRTH. The CD contains 4 songs of the first SORE-album.
SORE is definetly looking for more shows outside of Germany or even Europe (?). If you want SORE to blast your fucking brains then just leave a message and we..ll tell you our conditions.
