INFECTION was found in April 2004 by Simon Albertz (Bass // Growls) and Ivo Dobos (Guitars) as a Death/Thrash Metal Band.
n May '04 they met Steffen, who takes part in the Band as the Drummer.But within a short time the style began to change, which Simon and Ivo wrote, moved in to the genre of Death Metal/Grindcore. In the same time the INFECTION logo comes into being.But in the winter of 2004 Simon anounced, that he will end up working with INFECTION, because of personal problems. To record a part of this what was made in the year they decided to record the Demo 2004. And during this recording Simon changed his mind again and came back to his band.In May 2005 the first 'real' CD should be released and so they recorded the "Pool of gore and Pus" EP. But the result satisfied no one and so only a very limited edition was made for trading.After the first live gig (supporting Cerberus // suffocated Art) Ivo and Simon decided to fulfill their long dreamed dream. They wanted their music to become more brutal and more technical. But this wasn't possible with Steffen behind the drumkit. So he had to leave the bandAfter a long search and some changes in the Line-up the core of INFECTION (Simon // Ivo) brought to an issue to take the Drum-Computer to record their sickest Promo ever. The result is the "Instigation of Violence" Promo.
