Dancing, lindy hop, balboa, singing, music, cheap wine, expensive wine, coffee, my kitties, finding awesome jazz and blues on vinyl, vintage shoes, art deco furniture, traveling, teaching, and laughing with my friends. Especially with Mark.
Mr. Darcy. Also someone who will take me sailing. And Gene Kelly in his younger years. So we can get married. And so i can have his babies. Also anyone who is a seattle semi-pro wrestler...because they are awesome and make me feel completely liberated when i throw beer cans at their faces.
I love anything having to do with jazz. Other than that i listen to Morrissey, Tegan and Sarah, Andrew Bird, Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service, Bjork, Danger Bob, Reggie and the Full Effect, Flogging Molly, RENT (ok...most musicals actually...i'm retarded about musical theatre), The Decemberists, Neutral Milk Hotel...blah blah blah i love music.
Dancing Lady, Singing In The Rain, Anchors Aweigh, Cabin In The Sky, Zigfield Girls, Mister Smith Goes To Washington, Car Of Dreams, The Philadelphia Story, Summer Stock, Follow The Fleet, Pride And Prejudice, and ROCKY.
I don't own a TV, but i've somehow managed to be obessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer (yes, it's awesome), X-Files, and most recently, Lost, which is amazing. Other than that, i don't watch the damn thing. I DO however love listening to the radio. NPR, A Prairie Home Companion (my midwestern roots show a little here...), and of course, This American Life. I'm secretly in love with Ira Glass...well, i guess it's not a secret now...
Ah books...i love love love love books:) The Ender's Game series by Orson Scott Card, anything by Al Franken, Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta series...i spend most of my time reading classics (favourites include Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, A Farewell to Arms, Crime and Punishment, Madame Bovary, Anna Karenina, A Room with a View...), Lolita, Round Ireland with a Fridge, Snow Falling on Cedars, Suburbia, japanese poetry.....this list may never end so i'll stop here.
