The Doom Buggies

You guys sound like the Monkees with Marshalls

About Me

The Doom Buggies have been kicking around Boston since 1995 performing our hybrid brand of garage rock. Some have described it as "the Monkees meet the Who." Others have have called it "Arena Garage Rock" and "Pop Metal." A few have even described it as "Absolute Rubbish." Call it what you will...We have a hard time paying attention long enough to stick to one genre and typically careen from bubblegum pop and psychedelic metal to Donny Iris covers and songs about cheese. Some people say we should focus more, but what fun would that be?In the past, The Doom Buggies have been known to adopt alternate personalities and have performed several tributes to some of our favorite Boston Garage Rock bands disguised as the Throbbing Lobsters. We have dressed up as our local heros, The Bags and done sets of Bags songs as Bagsmania and recently we participated in a Motorhead tribute with several other bands and were invited to play the International Pop Overthrow Festival when it rolled through Boston. The new CD is done and ready to hit the airwaves, and we will soon release a second CD of classic Buggies material that will be completed soon. We have also added the guitar stylings of Chuck Freeman to this thing of ours to create the new and exciting "Wall of Buggies" sound.
