WIT
…2004 Having founded the band in his mind singer & guitarist Pece contacted his childhood friend Peter to play the bass and things were set in motion when drummer Johan became the final member on board.
2005 saw WIT on a hectic schedule of performances in Scandinavia including supporting Whitesnake at Baltiska hallen (Malmo) playing to an audience of 4000 people. The reputation of the group’s tremendous live shows spread like wildfire – and Swedish national television SVT, asked the band to do an interview, and this was before WIT had released any material.
January 2006 WIT released their self-titled debut EP “WIT” on their own label Dang-A-Lang music, mixed by Tore Johansson (Franz Ferdinand, The Cardigans) – this, along with the bands live shows has generated much interest within the music industry and the media alike.
February 2006 they released their first single “Shake It” taken from the EP, which has given the band their first chart position and is being played with frequent rotation on Swedish National Radio P3, independent radio and college radio stations along with other tracks from the EP.
