Five North Shore women rockers! There must be something in the water!
We started in June 2006 with a little help from "It's About Time" & "Nothing to Lose"! Born north of Boston, we spent most of our young lives following and dancing to the likes of The Dawgs, The Nervous Eaters, The Real Kids, Lyres and The Vinny Band, to name but a few, at The Rat, Cantones, The Channel, Grovers, all over town! We LOVE Boston Garage Rock soooooooo much, we just couldn't do anything else but RAWK! So here we are, making the commitment, to take the time in our busy lives to play music together, writing amazing songs and doing what we love: being in a GREAT BAND playing GREAT ROCKIN' MUSIC!
Like all bands we have inspirations and people we love more than anything and can't thank enough: Allen "Alpo" Paulino RIP, Jeff Wilkinson RIP and Willie Alexander for inspiring us far beyond! The others...Carl Biancucci who hooked Lisa up to Gay for a drum audition that was sealed when she drove right past the barn with everyone standing there waiting for her!...John Sears and Carl Hebert (the best husbands and dads ever) who truly hold down the homefronts so the ladies can play, and who along with Junkyard Dave, lug our heavy gear in and out of every show!!!...a HUGE thank you to Tom Uellner, who also lugs our gear, is there to capture every Kodak moment, makes sure our live sound happens at gigs, burns our CDs - seriously all around guy...and Peter Cahill for his live filming, copying, editing and pictures! The BIGGEST Most Honorable Mention goes to Mr. Phil Haynen for believing in us and giving us advice and free rein to his music! Phil Haynen is also affectionately known to us as Phil DeVille 'cause he let us record his songs...we love ya.
How incredibly blessed we are! To these people and our loyal friends and fans we are truly grateful!! Thank you all.
Our first three song demo, "DeVillicious" recorded at Woolly Mammoth Sound, can be purchased at our shows.
We just recorded our first full length CD at New Alliance Studios in Cambridge. "Junkyard DeVille" is pressed, packaged and blinged and we are ready for the ride of our lives!
