I'm getting married April 7th- PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME TO HAVE SEXY INTERNET CHAT WITH YOU!!!!!! I can be a very silly girl, I get giddy and bouncy quite often. I like to jump on the bed, have water balloon fights, disco dance, and make up songs about my pets that I sing to them while I make them dance with me. I am also capable of being a serious grown up woman who listens to people's problems, goes to the opera in foofy dresses, and is never late to work. I get obsessive about various things from time to time, be it a certain director or band or Bedazzling things or glass etching or roller skating. I am always reading a minimum of 6 books at a time, so forgive me if I get details of George Washington's life mixed up with Stagger Lee's. My feelings get hurt very easily, and unfortunately I'm a bit of a crybaby- but on the bright side I'm remarkably resilient and surprisingly reliable and steadfast in a crisis. I wear my heart on my sleeve. Years of retail has sadly turned me into an occasional sourpuss but I'm not hard to jolly up. I talk a lot, but will sometimes go days without speaking if I can hole myself up somewhere. I'm a bit of a heliophobe, I enjoy looking at the sun, but I can't go out without sunblock or I get freaked out. I wear big hats and carry parasols a lot. I have a dog (Boomer), 2 fish (Herman and Baby 2), and 3 cats (Gary, Sir Bedivere, and Caliope). I REALLY REALLY like goats a lot. I'm going back to school to be a librarian. I hope to live in the country some day soon. I used to think pistachios were gross until one day I realized I'd never actually eaten one. Now I like them bunches. I am equally at home with trucker trash, snooty hipsters, and senior citizens (though people in fancy houses make me a bit nervous.) My house is crammed full of books, penis Santas, feather boas, dolls, rubber bats, and the entire contents of my grandma's attic. Red meat makes me very happy. I am currently doing research to write a book on the silent film actress Olive Thomas. I'm the DFW promo rep for Bomp! records (www.bomp.com for all your rock n roll needs, baybee!). I'm learning to play the harmonica and I want to build a theremin. I refuse to waste any more of my time on people who cannot understand how important music, film and books are to me. I refuse to waste any more of my time on people who insist that I be anything other than who I am, cause who I am is okay with me and ergo, should be okay with you. I need a day off of work before you read about me freaking out with weaponry in a KFC and sporking a group of Japanese tourists to death. ADDENDUM: I seem to be entering phase 3,642 1/2 of my life. Some things are wonderful, some things are scary, and some things are both at the same time. But all of them are certainly new and making things in my life different from how they've previously been. I am embarking on new adventures, and I'm thrilled and terrified, but filled with anticipation.
