Welcome to the myspace of Natural Causes, we're an alternative hip-hop 3 piece hailing from Sydney, signed to the independent record label, Nurcha Records. While we're here, we're trying to bring something new to the table, pushing the boundaries of our own abilities and placing a strong emphasis on creative lyricism and musical originality, so you can dance, sit down and listen or play it in your car (seriously, play it in your car). We're into all sorts of artists, from the Hoods, Atmosphere, Ali and that to Jeff Buckley and the Klaxons, hopefully you can hear it in our songs.
Since mid-06, we've been focussing our efforts towards completing the Incidental Noise demo. After much writing, completely relocating the studio and general procrastination, we're proud to offer up this release as a taste of what's to come, featuring us as rappers and an assortment of original and mixtape beats. You can catch Introductions, our intro track to the demo (funny that) on our Myspace right now! As of August 3rd, you'll be able to grab it from www.myspace.com/nurcha, by sending us a message here or by heading to a good hip hop retailer. It'll be available for $5 incl. postage and we'll also be doing the hand to hand thing at shows, so be sure to pick it up soon as you can!
Our energetic live set and willingness to travel great distances to play passionately and for free to near empty rooms has seen us amass an impressive resume of support spots, our group has played locally and interstate alongside the likes of The Funkoars, Delta, Muph n Plutonic, Bliss n Eso, Phrase & DJ Flagrant, Hyjak & Torcha, Rival & Haywire, Def Wish Cast, Dos Noun (US), K Rino (US) Planet Asia (US), Milk Bar Stars (Pegz, Muph, Plutonic Lab and DJ Bones), Newsense & Ciecmate (Hospice), Swarmy G, Fame & 13th Son, Foreign Heights, The Winnie Coopers, Infallible, Anecdote and many more. We have also headlined a number of sets at local Sydney venues, and enjoyed performance spots on the lineup of various festivals and community events.
