About Me
Drake MC was born in Grafton, a small city north of Coffs Harbour in NSW. Raised partly in Sydney, Grafton and a number of other small towns, Drake has traveled the coast experiencing many different aspects of the country.
September of 2005, Drake and fellow emcee fRiTs joined forces to create Homebrand, a group that existed around the basis of low funds and a cheap life. Later in the year DJ Denno joined the team, forming the trio as it is known today. The crew, based out of Melbourne where Drake then lived, worked for roughly a year on the first release "Flavoured Hip Hop" which included guests by the names of Hyjak N Torcha, Bukkcity, Infallible, Hykoo, Losty, GMC, Fluid, Luke Vexx, Phatchance, Last Credit and many more spanning across Australia and beyond. This served as a starting point for Drake, where he first got a taste of not only writing and recording, but engineering and mixing as well.
"Flavoured Hip Hop" can be downloaded for free from http://www.myspace.com/homebrand in its entirety, or streamed live from the page.

Drake has worked on many different projects in recent years, including recording, mixing and featuring on Mind Over Matters debut album "Keepin' It Breezy" released on June 7th, 2008 through Nurcha Records and MGM Distribution. In March of 2008, Drake also dropped his debut EP titled "Time Is Up", which served as a prelude for the brand new album "Room With No View" that was released in February of 2009. Recently he also completed mixing Big Lu's debut mixtape "Ruff Craft" and Mind Over Matters new mixtape 'Free The Wolves' with Phatchance. Other recent projects include mixing and mastering for Doctor Freuds 'Winter Stormz EP' and Johnny Utah & Elgens 'Welcoming Party EP'.
