NEWS AND NOTES
Hi! I'm Dan Rodriguez. I'm the new guy! The Metal Syndicate has now doubled in size (well, maybe more...I'm a big guy). I have joined the Syndicate to help Bram continue to kick ass, and kick some more.As for my background, I was PD at historic metal powerhouse WSOU in New Jersey in 2004-2005. I was a DJ for four years, and also hosted the Jersey-based punk/hardcore show Under the Stars, which has a long history before my time at WSOU, it was one of the first shows on a Jersey station to play bands like Thursday and Botch. After my tenure at WSOU, I spent a summer with Ferret Music and have been here at the Syndicate for a while, helping out with Management Syndicate's bands.I'm very excited to get rolling here. If you want to reach out to me, my e-mail is [email protected] or you can call at 201-864-0900 or toll free at 888-666-2061. Drop a line and say hi! ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------
I, Bram Teitelman, have taken over as the Director of Hard Rock Promotion at the Syndicate. Before I tell you about myself, I'd like to throw some horns to those that came before me: Eric "the Doormouse" Peltier, Amy "the General" Tso and Kristen "Killadelphia" Pietropoli. Much love and respect to all three of you. Not to mention Steve "the American," Gillian, Ben Markese, Marc Meltzer, Hoss, Tara and of course the Rev. Dave Ciancio. I'm both honored and priveliged to be following in your footsteps. Some of you might know my name from reading Billboard Radio Monitor and Billboard. I've spent the last few years as the rock editor there, writing about radio and/or music. Others might remember me from FMQB, where I was the Metal director before Mandy. I know there's some old schoolers I used to talk to back in the day there, and i'm lookin' forward to catching up with y'all. Still others might know me as Bramphetamine, piano and synth abuser of Murder 1, a top 15 loud rock CMJ charting metal band. And I'm sure there's plenty of you that have no idea who I am. So that's why I'm Myspacing y'all: to give you a heads-up to let you know that I will be your metal conduit at the syn effective now. reach out to me at [email protected] or do it the old-fashioned way at 201-864-0900 or toll-free at 888-666-2061. You can also hit me up via IM at bramster2.-------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------
The Music Syndicate's Metal Department has been assisting in the war against false metal since 1998 by developing bands careers and helping image record labels through effective radio promotion campaigns targeted to college, non-comm and commercial specialty shows throughout North America.
Our goal is two-fold. One is to help every radio station and individual programmer be as effective in their listening market as they can be by providing them with the tools to attract and maintain an audience. The second is to help the bands and record labels get thier music heard by the right fans in the right markets through the right radio stations. For us, it is about the strength of the community and the development of everyone involved.
The Metal Department of the Music Syndicate provides airplay, tour support, interview coordination, online features and more to bands of every subgenre of hardcore, heavy metal, punk, hard rock, industrial and so on, to every level from unsigned to indie lable to multi-platnium. We help programmers find the best music the metal and hardcore world has to offer on a national level.
The Music Syndicate itself is a family of like-minded, passionate music fans who whole-heartedly believe in building careers and providing the foundation for success for every artist we work with in the entertainment industry. The company includes radio promotion, street marketing, artist management and development and much more. Check out our online tour database to find a show near you. Need to know where the venues are, try the venue search . Want to know where to buy music in your community, we also have an online record store search too!
And you never know what other fun might be in store such as the Conflict of Interest pre-CMJ Music Marathon party, the Free Metal Listening Party at Korova Milk Bar, the Metal X-Mass Ball, our weekly email banter and our unique personalitites in addition to the constantly updated entertainment news and show reviews you love. You can also visit our record label WE PUT OUT RECORDS .
