About Me

MyGen Profile Generator Some people would fill this space with a bunch of ethereal psychobable describing how different they are from everyone else and how you can't fathom what they're all about. That's not my style.

I'm 26, male, and live by myself in Raleigh, North Carolina. I got my BS in Information Systems from UNC-G in December of '03 and have worked a variety of jobs since then. Currently people pay me to work in the Data Management department of a medical research company and there's really no way I can describe it without sounding incredibly boring. I'm probably one of the worst people you'll ever meet. But I'm good times.

I like to take photos of bands and whatnot. You can see them here .

My Interests

I partake in listening to various types of music, watching various movies and tv shows, and reading various books. You can see exactly what types of the aformentioned media I enjoy in the proceeding sections. I'm into old videogames, mainly NES/SNES and other older systems. In my opinion most of the best video games ever were made prior to 2000.

I'm a huge pro wrestling fan and my favorite promotions include IWA-Mid South, CZW, ROH, Chikara, and PWG. Some of my favorite wrestlers include Chris Hero, Super Dragon, Jushin Liger, Mick Foley, Hayabusa, Raven, Necro Butcher, Alex Shelley, Mike Quackenbush, Jack Evans, and Delerious.

I love traveling and going on road trips. Let me sleep on your couch and maybe I'll visit you. Unless you live in a completely boring place.

When I feel social I like to people watch at clubs and bars, provided they aren't overpopulated with assholes. Even if there are assholes there people watching is still fun.

List of other random interests-
libertarianism , abandoned houses/buildings, going to rollerderby games, urban exploration, making up recipes only I could like, photography (see "About Me" section for samples), bad weather, world history, crossword puzzles, looking up weird stuff on wikipedia, red wine, dark beer, collecting odd things, going through car washes

I'd like to meet:

You. Unless of course you suck. Then I don't want to meet you. Because I don't associate with people who suck.

NO I WILL NOT ADD YOUR SHITTY BAND!

I love reading about history - mainly WWII and anything war related, mythology, early US history, and anything macarbe or unusual.
Words of Wisdom "A girl calls and asks, 'Does it hurt very much to die?' Well sweetheart, I tell her, Yes, but it hurts a lot more to keep living."
-Chuck Palahniuk, Survivor
"I guess there's just two kinds of people: MY kind of people, and assholes. It's rather obvious which category you fit into. Have a nice day."
-John Waters, Pink Flamingos
"Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love."
-Neil Gaiman
"During the first period of a man's life the greatest danger is not to take the risk."
-Soren Kierkegaard
"Kill one or a hundred. You only hang once."
-Akira Kurosawa, Yojimbo
"After my head has been chopped off, will I still be able to hear, at least for a moment, the sound of my own blood gushing from my neck? That would be the pleasure to end all pleasures."
-Peter Kurten
"And force my friends is violence. The supreme authority from which all other authorities are derived. Violence has resolved more conflicts than anything else. The contrary opinion that violence doesn't solve anything is merely wishful thinking at its worst."
-Starship Troopers
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
-John Stuart Mill
"You don't become the king of the deathmatch by knowing all the moves. You become king of the deathmatch by kicking out of all the moves. By denying pain. Denying suffering. Hoping you can kid yourself just long enough...."
-Mick "Cactus Jack" Foley, 8/20/95
"We must make an idol of our fears and call it god."
-Ingmar Bergman, The Seventh Seal
"It is necessary now and then for a man to go away by himself and experience loneliness; To sit on a rock in the forest and ask of himself, who am I, and where have I been, and where am I going?"
-Carl Sandburg
"In the beginning the universe was created. This made a lot of people angry and has been widely regarded as a bad idea."
-Douglas Adams, The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy
