About Me

Affectionately named by the pit crew that raised her, Leadfoot was destined for a life of speed.Abandoned at birth, she was discovered on the backstretch of Rockingham County Speedway, tucked into an old turbo charger box, swaddled in a tattered checkered flag. At an age when most children were riding tricycles, Leadfoot spent most of her time at the racetrack. She enjoyed anything dealing with high speed, tight maneuvering and fiery collisions. As a teenager, she made her first trip to the local roller rink. Soon laps around the wooden rink replaced laps on the asphalt track that she called home.Fueled by smells of burning rubber and gasoline and hearing stories of a start-up roller derby league, Leadfoot left home and traveled east to Raleigh. Finding her true calling as a blocker and pivot for the Carolina Rollergirls, she instantly established a reputation as a fierce and often down-and-dirty skater, who leaves competitors in her dust.
