How can you be the exception if there is no rule?

About Me

Some people dream of success... while others wake up and work hard at it.
I was Lesley Templeton once... the name many of you remember.
The now: I'm a mid-twenties libertarian, vegetarian gal. I grew up a Raleigh-ite (North Carolina), and graduated college from NCSU with a B.S. degree in Criminology. Currently, I am a law student in Michigan.
There is also a pretty stupendous husband in the picture. A late-twenties, professional, libertarian, meat eating guy. In NC, he was in a band that played celtic metal. They were (and hopefully will be again) extremely good. They have an excellent album out, for sale on their page. ( Blackwatch )
Check them out!!
If you're friendly, I'd be happy to add you. I like intelligent, and a little off kilter, types of people :)

A few causes with which I strongly align myself:
Wouldn't it be great if everyone contributed in an equal and mandatory fashion with no loopholes? It is high time for the government to stop mis-handling our money, and for the system to be simplified by an incredible magnitude.

Yes - I know that he is listed on the republican ticket - but let's face it, he's a libertarian in wolf's clothing.

Desiderata

(by Max Ehrmann)
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Everyone brings something new to the table, and I enjoy a variety.

However, if I were to choose - the guy in the video below ( Marston Smith ), is the "Electric Cello God" - and I would absolutely LOVE to make his acquaintance.

Music:

Metal, Goth/Industrial, Punk, Celtic, World, Country, Dance, Pop, Classical, etc....

"Some" favorites (in absolutely random order) include:

Albannach (previously Clan An Drumma), Marston Smith (Electric Cello God!), Stephen McDonald, The Rogues, Off Kilter, Alice in Chains, Tool, Blind Guardian, Molly O'Brien, Anathema, Bella Morte, Danzig, Led Zeppelin, Morphine, Switchblade Symphony, Concrete Blonde, Wolfsheim, Jack Johnson, Big & Rich, Metallica, Apocolyptica, Pantera, Social Distortion, The Queers, Operation Ivy, Cyndi Lauper, Beastie Boys, Blue Man Group

Movies:

I'm a sap for movies that include any of the following:
Strong lead female (not some prissy nit), High school awkwardness, Romance, Dry Humor, Comedy, Mystery, Tear Jerkers, Fight Scenes, Bankrobberies, Crime investigations, Vigilante Justice, etc...

Television:

Boston Legal. Men in Trees. Greys Anatomy. Scrubs. Veronica Mars. Desperate Housewives. Dogg the Bounty Hunter. Big Day. 30 Rock. I could go on - but it might get pretty pathetic.
