In 1978, Miami’s Foxy released "Get Off," a sexy disco anthem that became a smash hit in clubs and on radio. Miami-based Monster Taxi reinvents the single with a brash and modern remake of "Get Off," released in the spring of 2007. Monster Taxi’s treatment of this classic features original vocalist Ish Ledesma and dance diva Rachel Panay - a nod to the original with a decidedly new edge.
Monster Taxi is the pseudonym of producer Jason Klein, who has been associated with over 20 major label productions and remixes with major artists including Mariah Carey, Ricky Martin & Savage Garden. Since 2004, Klein has licensed several of his tracks under his label Toy Robot Records to Ministry of Sound, Universal Music and Sony/BMG. Monster Taxi and Klein have both been featured several times in Billboard Magazine and have charted on several radio and record pool charts.
Since the release of Monster Taxi’s full-length album in late 2006, Klein has seen his singles "Memory Wack" and "Boogie Makes a Splash" climb up the U.S. club and dance charts. The album has since been released in Europe, with high chart placements in Germany and Switzerland.
