"Repeat Performance" Official Release May 14th!!!

About Me

Singer, songwriter, and entertainer, Rachel Panay hit the dance scene in 2003 with her first underground anthem, The Walk of Shame. The Walk of Shame landed on Party Groove Fireball 2003 (Centaur Records), a CD compiled by superstar DJ team Ralphi Rosario and Abel Aguilera, known as Rosabel. Rachel also made her first major label debut in English and Spanish on BMG’s Latin remake of Foxy’s Get Off, which was released throughout Latin America. Rachel released her second single and her first Billboard hit, Back to Love, which remained on the Billboard Hot Club Dance Play chart for 20 weeks, with 2 weeks in the ..2 position. Rachel’s follow up single, I Still Believe, was released in fall of 2005 and rose to the ..7 position on the Billboard Hot Club Dance Play chart. It quickly became a favorite on XM Satellite Radio, Music Choice, Sirius Satellite Radio and on mix-shows and dance format radio stations nationwide. Rachel’s newest Act 2 Records single, The Real Thing is heating up dance floors across the nation. The Real Thing recently hit ..6 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart making this Rachel’s third Top 10 hit. At Duke Ellington High School for the Performing Arts, Rachel trained formally in voice, dance, and musical theater and wrote her first composition, Gun of Love, which became WPGC Washington, DC’s theme song for its "Stop the Violence" campaign. After graduating from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Rachel’s unique style emerged as she became deeply involved in the Boston live music scene, experimenting with the genres of Jazz, Acid Jazz, Pop, R&B, and even Latin Funk. Rachel has received several awards including a recent WAMMY (Washington Area Music Awards) in March of 2006, and a nomination for Best New Artist at the International Dance Music Awards in 2005. Panay’s original composition, You Make Me Feel, penned with Andy Sikorski, was used on 3 episodes of the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2005. MyGen Profile Generator
