About Me

"you guys have a MySpace profile that is very space rock."fevervisions of a distant time - the songs of future ultragods worshiped by the inhabitants of space empires now fallen into sweet scattered barbarism. Upon the plugging in of the implements - within the onset of their churning, instinctively, I knew my duties.I moved towards the controls of my space machine- bleeding out sonic geometries to open channels of communion with our distant incarnations, their presence now an insistent beacon flashing its signal across the reaches of space-time. It may serve as some explanation of my attitude towards these unusual phenomena to say that since my early years I have been afflicted by troublesome bouts of unwelcome telepathic contacts, praetersensory twitches and flails, prophetic headaches, etcetera. Through the relishing of such mindsores, a pleasing hum emerged. At this point, a counterdimensional axis opened in the basement, admitting a troupe of backwards time-space dancers who exist in a slightly *less dense* form of material expression. Their physical bodies dangle inside-out in suspended animation to complete long distance journeys between star systems in that to-be. During this long sleep they amuse themselves by traveling backwards through subtle connections made by bizarre recessive mutations in the genetic codes belonging to members of Space Hawk.We are possessed by these beings during our practices and performances, giving a voice to tales of future days and insights for the now-time. Occasionally they sing in languages-to-be, finding our current tongues lacking the range of resonant signifiers with which they are accustomed. They often sing tales of the ancient being they spend their waking times hunting throughout the interstellar void, known as THE SPACE HAWK. They have spent their entire lives in deep space, for long before they were born their parents fled the destruction of their homeworld in a now-derelict craft, once a flagship of the ancient technology of their spacefaring ancestors: the products of our future industry. We give them the use of our bodies to make music and manifest the creativity they cannot afford in their waking existence, for they are us - representatives of the remnants of our consciousness' in the distant future. The waking lives of the travelers are bleak. They spend most time out of stasis repairing the ship or hunting large space-faring cephalopods for their meat, occasionally coming across an inhabited planet or system of planets whose dominant civilizations have long ago fallen to the gaze of the Hawk. They wander these planets and trade with the inhabitants to replenish supplies, searching always for clues to its path. For it is the fate of the Space Hawk that its gaze will fall upon the industries and intrigues of surface-dwelling beings only at the apex of their civilized development, and its curse that precipitates the fall of those civilizations after its gaze has passed. The Hawk is not a malevolent being, nor do I believe it to have any kind of personalized consciousness. It has a number of simultaneous dimensional incarnations, existing in the physical world as an ancient spacecraft -unmanned but filled with spinning glyphs of fractured light fulfilling obscure functions within its antique mainframe. In more subtle realms (and to more subtle eyes) it appears as an enormous living Hawk whose heart holds the fire of a thousand imploding suns and whose gaze shatters the hopes of those who dream greedily and boldly at the expense of sensibility and compassion. We are only beginning to understand our relation to the future travelers as we decipher the recordings (which we are quite possibly playing back at the wrong speed) they leave in their wake and analyze the confused memory of their passing. Many questions remain unanswered. Why have they come to this current now? what exactly is their relation to or intention toward the Space Hawk? Do they seek, through performing their hymns to Space Hawk in the now-time, to attract his gaze to earth and topple world civilization at its current height? These questions and more have yet to be addressed in their transmissions, so we can only wait for the travelers to speak on the subject.Any seeking further information regarding our communications with the travelers, the Space Hawk, or anyone who would like to host a Space Hawk ceremony, please message us.
