About Me

Check out some more songs and videos of mine at
http://www.belowpdx.com/argumentix
Extremely fond of scratchy amplification of insignificant and purely coincidental traps of tape-loops destroyed with vocal acrobatics, argumentix is an experiment in fear, betrayal, and healing humanity. Magic and Loss, Stuffed with protein, territories are both explored and discussed with critical acclaim. Sounds from anywhere make the better half of any argumentix duet. Nothing is safe or sacred and no sound too pure for exclusion from appropriation. Is it self-mockery, self-actualization, or self-revelry? Mistakes will be applauded, brave stretches in development will be transmitted, stories from the journey will be exaggerated. Its all a culmination of everything all at once. Its all an explosion of dark, trance, new age, punk, adult contemporary and harsh noise stacotto hiccups of simultaneous joy and despair. A gift to you is easy to smile, say thank you, and then eagerly ignore. I don’t want to be ignored. I want to SING.

Influences:
Sounds Like: at a house party in Val Verde - A huge mosh pit while Argumentix sang about his dead mother in the center of the crowd. No lights on except a single flashlight being pointed at Argumentix's head. Like being in a dream. Extreme aggresion and sorrow at the same time, in a Lynch like setting. Shit. (Brian Miller)

"At the most basic level, Argumentix's music is about two things: tapes and voices. Collecting discarded and damaged tapes of music and field recordings, James Squeaky - the man behind Argumentix - layers drum machine beats and queasy, processed vocals and finds sounds to create something that sounds not unlike Ariel Pink doing musique concrète."
