i think i pretty well covered that in the "about me" section, but "music and cars" sums things up nicely. Of course, those aren't my ONLY interests, but if you want to know more you'll have to write me
Dr. Twilliger
I love a wide variety of music... maybe too wide.... but I'll never say that annoyingly dissmissive statement musically clueless people use "oh, I like all kinds of music". I will say that I'm a sucker for a good pop hook, and I'm always hunting for unusual Christmas songs. A semi-stream of consciousness listing of bands I like: Bleed, the Hentchmen, Flaming Lips, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Mountain Goats, Chrome Cranks, Misfits, Johnny Hartman, Mel Torme, the Go, the Cramps, Bob Wills, Art Blakey, the Hackensaw Boys, the Cure, Echo & the Bunnymen, Dead Can Dance, Johnny Cash, Slayer, Hank Penny, Knuckel Drager, the Hi-Fives, the Briefs, Silkworm, The Mr. T Experience, Naked Raygun, and... I've been listening to a lot of vintage Hawaiian music and western swing lately
I have no memory for movies. I recently saw "Grass" an early, silent documentary (circa 1920s) on the migration of Nomads in Iraq. It was odd thinking how "primitive" they were living compared to what was going on in the US and Europe at the time... and now their country is one of the richest... well, at least some of the people there are.
I dig building shows... cars, houses, etc. I hate al the drama on the Discovery shows, but like the creativity. I love animated shows, but it's hard to find good ones anymore... the Simpsons, Powerpuff Girls, and Samurai Jack...
I pretty much read for a living, so I haven't picked up any pleasure reading in awhile... but one of these days I'll get back into reading a history of the Boxer Rebellion. It turns out my fiance's great grandfather was an Admiral in the US Navy stationed in China during the rebellion, and I'm curious to see if he's mentioned in the book.
