"The attitude of great poets is to cheer up slaves and horrify despots." -Walt Whitman
I am these things in no particular order: an artist, a poet, a yardie, a thinker, a teacher and a person trying to do his piece to make the world a better place.

"Noir"
by Marcus Kwame Anderson
black is every shade on the spectrum
combined into one
builders burnt to perfection
from the loving gaze of the sun
this cat named amerika
tried to tell me that black was
just rap, baggy clothes, street talk,
40s, blunts, sex and techs
i just stared at him blankly
adjusted my sagging jeans
said, “aight then, playa”
and walked off into the sun
humming giant steps

"Jah makes no perfect weapons... you will no longer be able to control us through suppression." -Bigg Jus
"If there is hope, it lies in the Proles." -1984, George Orwell
"The things you're looking for, Montag, are in the world, but the only way the average chap will ever see 99% of them is in a book. Don't ask for guarantees. And don't look to be saved in any one thing, person, machine or library. Do your own bit of saving, and if you drown, at least die knowing you were headed for shore." -Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury
"Impeach the president, pullin' out my ray gun, zap the next one, i could be a shogun." -Chuck D
"Iron like a Lion in Zion." -Robert Nesta
"Mother Mary don't pack two ceramic laser-sighted nines, Jesus don't possess nuclear tactical satellites, Jehovah don't move with a RPG sittin' on his shoulder, and Allah don't launch missles hovering in killer helicopter rotors..." -Bigg Jus
THE ART YOU SEE IS FOR SALE!!! HOLLA!
RESIST DOUBLETHINK.
Doublethink: The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them. ... To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies—all this is indispensably necessary. Even in using the word doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. For by using the word one admits that one is tampering with reality; by a fresh act of doublethink one erases this knowledge; and so on indefinitely, with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth.
