Born and raised in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn, New York to Trinidadian parents, I love the fact that I always felt different(not in a condescending way) but having the backbone to not be a follower and having to fight on occasion to prove my point. Before the glorification of the "gun clap", I grew up in the era of the "jap"(Jammies Applied Precisely) where respect was really earned unless you were on a mission to get fast paper. Being creative kept me out of trouble, but that didn't mean that I was immune to harsh inner city realities because I've experienced my fair share (no need to go in depth, trust me) It's funny how it took me all this time to finally get out of my own way and know that I can have what I dream about without being bitter about life's lessons. Some have come and gone for me to realize this and now I get it. I'm focused and above speaking on cats that blatantly tried to style on me(family and so called friends alike).
