Ingrid Mathurin bears the soul of a Capricorn. Born January 5th, this 80’s baby has seen emotions in more confined eyes than women twice her age. Ingrid Mathurin learned at an early age if you stare fear in the eye ready to charge, the world can’t deny you of self dignity. Of Haitian Decent, Ingrid has led the life of a child that was more than eager to break the bondage of defamation. Her works breathe the essence of passion and freedom that she was denied during her childhood. Ingrid chose to attend The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale Florida for fashion designs. It was there she learned the ability to create new and innovative clothing in which she now collaborates with her art. Her compositions are more than abstract; her remarkable talent is nothing less than the ability given to her by God.“The gift he gave me is in my hands”Creating art for the past 18 years, Ingrid’s artwork has been sold at many auctions. She now displays in Downtown Jacksonville every month at Art Walk with the Downtown Vision, Inc showing her original oil and acrylic paintings.
