**************************************************** My name is Richard "Rich Sky", who (together with my friend Hans Waalwijk) runs the Simon Phillips Chronology site. This site contains a chronology and overview of releases (i.e. Records, CD's, Audio-Video's) of the drummer Simon Phillips. This site is constructed by Hans W. and Richard S. and is under their ===== ©(1995-2007). **************************************************** As you can imagine, I am an absolute Simon Phillips Fan. When I was an adolescent, his not withstanding drum-sound accompanied me, although I did not realise who the guy was. Not knowing to whom I listened to, I heard his music with Mike Oldfield on the Radio, with Toyah in the Disco and Russ Ballard and Michael Schenker in a youth centre. It gave me the kick though to grap the sticks myself. It took me years to realise what kind of drummer accompanied me. Through these years of my musical development it were always the same names that occurred, among others Cozy Powell, Billy Cobham and Simon Phillips. Although I did not connect the name of Simon Phillips to all those productions, that sound, that music I knew for so many years.
