Velocity first formed in September 2005 with an indie/funk rock sound to rival even the best around. Their music has a lets kick arse attitude which shows in their complex yet simple sounding riffs.VELOCITY are largely influenced by Stereophonics , Athlete and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers which shows in their music and vocals. With songs such as .."Silicone factory".. , .."Cash".. and .."Sky".. anyone can relate to their songs on a personal note.The front man of the band PHIL is an enthusiastic vocalist with a rough and ready voice which suits their songs like chalk and cheese. JAZ on the bass guitar is the type of player that plays the bass as it should be played ' with rhythm and passion. JD on the drums is a very experienced drummer with a style and passion which suits and compliments the other band members which makes VELOCITY an enjoyable experience to listen to.With all there passion and excitement it makes a fantastic night when watching and listening to them play live.They have played at various venues including The Leonards, The Vibe Bar, The Rock Garden, The Comedy Pub, Lark in the Park, Fiddler's Elbow.
