Rueben Sakey - drummer man

About Me

I am a rock/pop drummer. Up until recently I was playing drums for Blaze of Glory - the Bon Jovi Tribute Show and cover show Millenium Bug, all based in Sydney, NSW Australia. I may still fill in from time to time. In played drums in Sydney band Limousine for a while. In another life, I previously played in New Zealand band Nine Livez, which had several top 40 singles in NZ in the early 90's playing the Auckland hardrock scene and touring extensively, including shows with Shihad, The Angels, Allanah Myles and others. I also played in Sydney band "The Chapter", playing around Sydney, before taking a bit of a break from playing live. I returned to live gigging about two years ago and have been really enjoying being back in the saddle. Always looking for new opportunities to play or record, provided they fit in with other committments. Current live equipment: Pearl MRX Masters Custom natural maple - 10/12/14/16/22. Pearl CZX (custom Z) vintage 14x.6.5" snare, 14x6.5" MRX snare, Zildjian cymbals as follows - 14" quick beat hats, 22" Z (light?) power ride, 16" A crash, 16" A custom crash, 17" A crash, 18" A rock crash, 18" Z china boy, 8" K splash. LP Ridge Rider Rock cowbell, LP mounted tambourine. DW9000 pedals. Remo heads - emperor/ambassador on toms, powerstroke 3 front and back on kick, emperor CS/amb snare weight on snare. Vater fatback 3As.
