"The talent required to be constantly off key and out of time should not be underestimated. Try clapping out of time; If you're not deaf, you can't hardly do it. Amazing. Rock gods!"
"The aftermath was dismal at best, all was left in ruin, noone, nothing stood a chance, Death Mask
had come to play.
The hair was flying... you slipnuts annihalated in a cage match metal frenzy... OOOhhhhh Yeeeeeeeeaaaa!!!"
-Nekrist
When in doubt, play Slayer!!!
-Death Mask
For the introduction of a
new kind of music must be
shunned as imperiling the
whole state; since styles of music
are never disturbed without
affecting the most important
political institutions.

Crush your enemies
See them driven before you
Hear the Lamentations of the women
-Conan the Barbarian
Formed in 2005, mainly out of a love of Black Metal, European & American Death Metal, & good ol' American thrash metal, not to mention the utter boredom of living in a small, southern town along the infamous bible belt, Death Mask has been building a fast reputation of sheer brutality and unpredictable stage antics. The lineup had featured some unsteadiness in the beginning, but finally solidified with the addition of permanent bass player Patrick Chaos and lead guitarist Josh Acors in late 2006. Unrelenting power and speed, and the desire to surpass themselves with every song, and unforgettable live performances are the main things this band lives by, ignoring the trends of the scene that surrounds them. No combovers or feminine jeans will be found here, nor will there be breakdowns or spin - kicking, just metalheads who take what they do seriously, not themselves.
Death Mask has been able to win over almost any crowd, usually with the charismatic live shows and uncompromising, completely unpretentious music. They have been able to win the respect of other bands within the scene, or even touring bands they have played with, but this is not enough. Total conquest. Recognition, everywhere. That is the absolute obsession that drives them, all else is considered failure. You will come away converted if you weren't a metalhead before, and completely entertained either way.
Death Mask's tales of conquest are still unfinished, for they will continue to come into every new place and raze it, muscially, like the warriors from the Steppes of ancient times, coming from nowhere to change hisory and write it in the blood of the enemies of metal itself. Come at your own risk, disappointment is not an option ....
