'Unsigned Artist of the Week' Nov '07 - Tunetribe.com (Download Store)
'An indie rock sound done with brilliance' - Soundbites Music.
'We love it' - Red Radio
'A confident, assured artist who has a canon of songs that have a timeless quality' - Pop Junkie.
Luke Kaden is a dynamic young troubadour with a classic rock voice who moulds slow moving ballads, melodic rock and catchy toe-tappers, all fashioned in the vein of great songwriters past and present.
After growing up in Australia - where he successfully released the EP ‘Rain down on me’ (Produced by Chris Neehause – The Go Betweens/ Powderfinger) - followed by stints living in France and the States, he’s now settled in the UK.
Since being in London, Luke has teamed up with producer Richard Mathews (The Rakes/ Futureheads) to record the double A-side single Hide [need you tonight]/Lost in lights (available from iTunes).
Influenced by the songwriting of Ryan Adams, Noel Gallagher, Jeff Buckley and David Gray, high-calibre bands The Verve, U2 and The Police, while the late 60s California scene, American punk-rock, alt-country, Britpop, and rock all help to form his output.

Thanks to Leon Cave (Drums) and Leo Keedy (Cello) for contributing to the single.

Also, a big thanks to Gavin Lee Nicholls (Bass, Guitar, Drums) for playing live in London and on tour.

Influences: I'm inspired by anyone who had vision and the commitment see it through. Right now I'm listening to Dashboard Confessional, Ra and Gavin DeGraw. Anytime I need a spark it's U2, David Gray [a great soul]. Lyrics are important so any of the modern day poets will do. Also these guys certainly helped things along:

Interpol, Ryan Adams, AFI, Lenny Kravitz, Sparta, Radiohead, The Verve, Richard Ashcroft, David Bowie, Bloc Party, Dashboard Confessional, Saez, Pascal Obispo, Doves, Ben Lee, Jeff Buckley, The Tea Party, Incubus, The Police, Coldplay, Matchbox Twenty (before the Rob Thomas album), Muse, Oasis, Placebo, The Used, Filter, Foo Fighters, Fuel, John Mayer, Linkin Park, Nu-metal, New Order, Phoenix, Rage Against The Machine, Shihad, System of a down, Motorace, PJ Harvey, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Travis, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel.

Greatest Albums
U2...Achtung Baby
David Gray...White Ladder
Ryan Adams...Rock N Roll
Coldplay...Parachutes (great songs, great sonics)
Jeff Buckley...Grace
