Nolita+++
Born and raised in Gunma prefecture, Japan, Nolita started to draw at a very young age. She studied "Technical Drawing" in high school and learned basic skills in visual design and oil painting while residing in Tokyo and New York City. In San Francisco, joined a Japanese artist group as an illustrator working their marketing and promotional materials while learning acrylic painting. After got back to Japan, decided to learn Suibokuga (Traditional Chinese ink painting) and Ikebana "SOGETSU" (Japanese flower arrangement) in order to be "MYSELF" also in my art as a woman whose roots is in Japan, who has been inspired and influenced by a lot of differents culture and ppl.
About Sogetsu ***Learning Sogetsu means a lot to me for my life and my art. Sogetsu style has a very simple form but has a very deep Japanese classic philosophy. The simple form which have a deep meaning even tells us the way how we should live and be. I have been learning Sogetsu for about 6yrs and got a license of Sogetsu instructer. ShinSai is my Sogetsu name given by my master. I keep learning about it to become a master of it.***
I know I am too small to do something for changing the world but I at least try to keep myself as a person who has eyes able to see the truth behind, has a heart able to feel sensitively, has ears able to listen well, think and imagine well even about others, try to know, learn and understand, can face my self and accept even though it really hurts and puts me down sometimes because I want "genuine"&"authentic" for everything and I really wish the world to become better and fair place for everyone(^-^)
