About Me

Simply, this is a site put up to show my work to those who choose to look on the MySpace network. Included in the pic.s section are some of my large scale paintings which span a professional career dating back to 1992. I will keep it at that for now, fine art is a visual language...the paintings for better or worse are what they are. The work is surreal/pop to an extent but it branches into a lot of different genres. I have been fortunate to have trained under Peter Saul the well known Pop Artist, the late Luis Jimenez and my mentor Vincent Mariani a personal favorite and protege of the late great colorist Josef Albers...I hope I will represent them well in my lifetime."You can always tell an intelligent person, not by the answers they give but by the questions they ask. It seems to me, art's job is to ask questions of the viewer so that the viewer can enlighten their own life by what they feel the work has to say in the context of their own life experiences. To me, that is what makes a work of art worthwhile"R. Pilar 2007Myspace Layouts
