BOOM SOUND COLLECTIVE is a group of producers, vocalists & emcees based in Barcelona and operating all over Europe. Their goal is to spread underground culture - whether it's hip hop, electronica or nu-soul.

Debilorithmicos
Josh Guillot (Beatspoke) & Joan Pedrosa (El Chavo) are "the men behind the masks" in Debilorithmicos. Only a little under two years together and their influence is already palatable. Based out of their native city of Barcelona, they have been collaborating with some of the most talented underground artists, such as Cyne, Non Genetic, Psyche Origami or Al Haca. Although clearly rooted in hip hop their music branches out from forgotten Spanish pop and touches on many different styles creating a fusion that is fresh and hard-hitting. They are becoming even more well known for their stunning live sets where booming baselines drive dancehall and hip hop acapellas rage over dubstep, drum and bass, or garage. Their first release "Dimarts i Dijous" is out now on Pulpa Records.

Beatspoke
Beatspoke was born in Barcelona in 2003 when singer-songwriter Sarah Gessler moved to Spain from USA for a change of peace and, though becoming part of the underground music scene, met producer Josh Fontan. Beatspoke has many influences, mainly: Soul, Hip Hop, Jazz and Electronica. Heavy baselines and broken beats with jazzy-electronic melodies make space for poetic soliloquies of conscious lyrics and soulful hooks. They have performed in festivals and clubs around Europe and the USA alongside artists such as Bonobo, Zero dB, Foreign Beggars or Buggz in the Attic.They have recorded tracks for the Fluid Ounce Presents compilation to be released in March 2008 through Fluid Ounce (in cooperation with Ninja Tune).Their first EP is coming soon - 2008

El Chavo
El Chavo is a Dj and producer who was born in Barcelona but raised outside Babylon. His musical taste is eclectic and therefore his beats are difficult to classify, but all said and done it's a reach for Hip Hop. His productions count on collaborations with the likes of: Psyche Origami, Soarse Spoken, Mataji Booker or Poesh Wonder. El Chavo has released two 7 inches in 2007: Unauthorized Split (Galleta Records) and Selectah (Jakrta Records). As a DJ he has spun in three editions of the Sonar Festival and the first edition of Hypnotik Festival in Barcelona. He currently directs the radio show, Dubweiser, at Scanner FM dedicated to the roots and culture of Jamaican music.

DJ2D2
DJD2D2 began his professional DJ carrer by 1996. He's had residencies among Barcelona's top clubs including Apolo's Powder Room, City Hall, Fonfone, Moog or Otto Zutz providing the freshest selections in hip hop, funk reggae and even electronica. He's been voted best spanish DJ several times in some of the most respected music magazines. His technique and versatility led him to be Prefuse 73's DJ for his European tour and also collaborate with other bands such as Llibert Fortuny Electric Quartet or Ego:tRip. He's also been working with a wide range of artists such as: Fibla, Alex Martin, Griffi, Buddy Peace, Josh Brent or Camping. In June 2004 he released his first mixape with Sonar Music: Bit Street that received excellent reviews. After several years DJ2D2 has played on almost all 4 continents sharing stages with QBert, Jazzy Jeff, Grand Wizzard Theodore, Madlib, , Dj Shadow, Dj Craze, Kid Koala, Dj Vadim, , Roots Manuva, Jamie Lidell, Quantic, Edan, Funkstörung and many others. Since January 2005 he has been the host of the radio show Bit Street at Scanner FM

RQM
RQM was born in Poland, raised in NYC, transplanted to Berlin and currently living in Barcelona. He is an emcee, writer and producer who has recorded with Stereotyp, The tape, Chris de Luca and Phon.o. He has toured almost all the main European capitals as well as the United States, Mexico and South East Asia and shared stages with such artists as MIA, El-P, Roni Size and Modeselektor. Rolling Stone Magazine gave his project with The Tape "Autoreverse" (Kitty Yo 2007) a full four stars calling it "one of the most interesting hip hop records of the year". He is currently working on his solo debut which features productions from Jahcoozi, Siriusmo, Milanese and Al Haca. It will be released late 2008-early 2009 and could be one of the most anticipated records from the Berlin bass-glitch scene

Pumpkin
Pumpkin is a French emcee living between Barcelona and Paris who has been writing, rapping and collaborating with artists from both countries for over ten years. In 2006 she debuted with her first demo "Le Vernissage" produced by Dj Plutonium, and released remixes by Supafuh. She became part of the French collective The Vibe League and at the same time became a back up singer for Barcelona's hip hop band Aerolineas Subterraneas, with which she participated in 2007's Cultura Urbana in Madrid. She will release her first LP "L'Année en Décembre" in late 2008, carried out in close collaboration with Supafuh and counting on the participation of emcees and producers from many walks of life.
