About Me

Diversity was this bands game, from music to age to appearance. They played the pub and university circuit throughout the mid-70's, establishing themselves as one of London's hottest unsigned live acts. A deal with Arista in 1977 yielded the album Acupuncture, which was naturally recorded live. The mixture of speedy be-bop and rollicking jump blues showcased hot licks in a melting pot. Their eponymous follow up came a few months later, with some vibrant buzz-saw punk riffing added to the brew.
The band received no press outside the U.K. and folded within a year. Billy Jenkins reputation as a guitarist continued to grow and he remains a prominent figure in the London live blues and jazz circuit.
