SO WHATS THE DEAL JOE?
WHERE TO BEGIN.
ITS SUCH A LONG STORY. a true musical journey that takes me through
prog,blues,glam rock,punk,new wave,ambiant,electronica,country,jazz and any other musical style that draws me in. At this moment in time I'm into Steve vai, Goldfrapp, Captain Beefheart and Yes.
I would like to say you can hear this filtering through into my own music but you probably can't. It's ROBERT FOXX music. A strange eclectic mixture of guitar based ambiant rock and roll with a bit of sci-fi sexy moves thrown in for good measure.
I write record produce and arrange every thing myself(No band arguments for me HAH!). If I need a great drummer or keyboard player Ive been in the buisness so long one phone call and a sessions set up, Quick rehersal and the tracks laid. Bingo,!!!! over to me.
For live work I love working with brilliant musicians and have had some great bands in the past, but people are so bloody human(get drunk,get stoned turn up late, don't turn up, miss their flight, fight with the road crew,fight with each other, wear stupid hats etc etc) so I tend to perform solo shows, just me, a load of guitars, keyboards mike and machines. It's a lot less messy and it pays better HAH!!!!!
I'm super excited about the release of my third album for BLUE LAKE RECORDS-STRANGE SPEED. I open up my one man show with title track and so far audiences have been really enthusiastic. I'm thrilled to get the thumbs up from my dedicated fan base about the tracks I perform live from the album. LUV YA ALL!!!!
