You Should Be a Film Writer
You don't just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.
You have a knack for details and dialogue. You can really make a character come to life.
Chances are, you enjoy creating all types of stories. The joy is in the storytelling.
And nothing would please you more than millions of people seeing your story on the big screen! What Type of Writer Should You Be?

My Interests

Reading, writing, movies, music, seeing Shakespeare's plays performed on the stage, politics (Common Sense Conservatism), history, trivia, driving, cooking, photography, causing trouble, and (occasionally) saving the world! Sports: Hockey, the coolest sport on earth! Hockey is my Heroin. I live and die with the New York Rangers, but I'll watch any two teams play. Baseball - the Boston Red Sox. Football - the New York Jets. Truthfully though, baseball and football are just Methadone to get me through to hockey season.

I'd like to meet:

A girl who is 5'9", with dark brunette hair cascading to her mid-back, captivating brown eyes that would melt a mid-winter freeze, a slightly crooked nose (to prove imperfection's perfection), olive skin to shame Aphrodite, perfect pear-sized breasts that would make any sane man wonder "Pamela Who?," toss in a rapier wit, subdued intelligence, world-weary wisdom, bravery, absolute fearlessness, and a witch-cackle laugh.Oh yeah, I already found her. Ok, so...someone who has all that stuff and can avoid ripping my freaking heart out and dancing on it while I writhe in agony. That would be better.---------- Or, maybe just a girl who'll wear a hot-pink wig and handcuffs for me, once in a while. :-)

Music:

Classic Rock (Clapton, the Beatles, the Eagles, Genesis/Phil Collins, Jimi, the Allmans, Skynyrd, CCR, Floyd, Elton, Billy Joel, et al.) I like a little of everything, from Mozart to Metallica. Newer favs: Staind, Foo Fighters, 3 Doors Down, Linkin Park, Rascal Flatts, and (always) Sarah McLachlan. I like songwriters who seem to have a lot of the same t-shirts as I do.

Movies:

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (the three greatest films ever made by the hand of man), Star Wars (all six episodes), The Godfather Trilogy (yes, even The Godfather III), Henry V (Branagh), Finding Neverland, Dead Poets Society, Shakespeare in Love, Band of Brothers, BlackHawk Down, Almost Famous (Untitled Bootleg Cut), Saving Private Ryan, Hamlet (Branagh), Fandango, With Honors, Good Will Hunting, The Usual Suspects, Se7en, Cyrano de Bergerac (Ferrer), The Princess Bride, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, It's a Wonderful Life, Mister Roberts, High Noon, Casablanca, Othello (Branagh), Apocalypse Now, Citizen Kane, The Manchurian Candidate (1962), American History X, Platoon, Gardens of Stone, Conspiracy, Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl, Chasing Amy, Young Frankenstein, Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, L.A. Confidential, Silverado, Breaking Away, Jarhead, Garden State, Jersey Girl, Beauty and the Beast, Rent, the girl in the cafe, Superman Returns, Serenity, Bobby, Pride and Prejudice (2005), The Shawshank Redemption. That'll do, for a start.

Television:

CNN (especially CNN Newsroom with Kyra Phillips. She's so hot), Jeopardy!, SNL, Battlestar Galactica, The Sopranos, almost anything on the History Channel, the Military Channel, or the Discovery Channel, and any hockey game.

Books:

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (ummm...William Shakespeare), The Lord of the Rings (J.R.R. Tolkien), The Cask of Amontillado and The Black Cat (Edgar Allan Poe), Cyrano de Bergerac (Edmund Rostand), The Long Gray Line (Rick Atkinson), Faith of my Fathers (Sen. John McCain), Executive Orders (Tom Clancy), A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (Mark Twain), The Great Gatsby (F. Scott Fitzgerald), The Grapes of Wrath (John Steinbeck), Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury) You have to read it to get it; get it?, War on the Middle Class (Lou Dobbs), Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen), A Year in the Life of William Shakespeare - 1599 (James Shapiro). I hated these two, but they taught me something: Bartleby the Scrivener (Herman Melville) and Entropy (Thomas Pynchon).

Heroes:

Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, Thomas Paine, James Madison, John Adams, James Monroe, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, George S. Patton, William F. Halsey, Robert Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, and John McCain. Men who stuck it out without being afraid of getting it cut off!
