About Me

Born in Evanston, IL where I now reside with my fiancée and our 4 pets. We live 2 miles from Northwestern University. I'm near-sighted and I wear contacts. I still have all my hair. I have nothing pierced and no tattoos. I'm right-handed. My parents are both alive and are still married. I have 3 older siblings from my mom's first marriage. I don't own an automobile. I return calls and emails 99% of the time, which is a far better average than most people I know. I am stubborn, strong-willed and generally act rather reserved around people who I don't really know. However, if I am comfortable around you, then I can be garrulous. If these qualities are not appealing to you, then we probably won't become friends. I was never an alter boy or a caddy and I have disliked sports since I was 14 years old. However, I have a voracious appetite for music. I also love cheese pizza. I like to travel but I don't tend to have enough time or cash to do it. I love good coffee and spent 9 years of my life working in cafes. I'm a vegetarian, not a vegan. However, I'm trying to give up eggs and ice cream. If you're interested in becoming a vegetarian, then please do yourself a favor and watch some videos on http://www.peta.org/. I like to hang out with folks who are humble, hopeful and humane. I won't surround myself with cranky complainers who are constantly caterwauling. I don't get along with people who are ill-natured, insincere or indifferent and I won't reply to childish comments that anyone sends me through this site nor will I ever acknowledge emails from flirtatious people who don't respect the fact that I'm not available. I'm not an unfaithful jerk and it's very important to me that I avoid misunderstandings. I’m only here to network and make platonic friends. Also, if I post a comment or email you directly, I would appreciate it if you would take a minute to reply and acknowledge that I contacted you. I sang and played rhythm guitar in a band called God’s Green Earth from 1992-1997. From 1997-2005, I spent a lot of time working on my own material. Then, in the spring of 2005, I joined a Chicago rock band called Ashoka as the drummer which was a therapeutic experience. I played a handful of cool shows with them. The first one was in Portland in October, 2005 and it was a memorable experience. While it was a pleasure to play with them, I decided to leave in June, 2006 to re-focus my energy on my own material. I wish them the best of luck as they continue on with their career. I'm a devoted music fan and can usually be seen doing lights for The Ladies & Gentlemen at Chicago clubs like Double Door and Schubas. I'm known by a few folks for my work as a lighting designer for the bands Verbow & Rockets over Sweden. I actually filled in on drums at the last minute once for a Verbow gig on the North Avenue beach in Chicago in the summer of 2002. I loved that band and filling in on drums for a gig was a dream come true. I have been writing songs for my project Waiflike since the late '90s. My first effort under the moniker Waiflike was independently released in July of 2005 and gained some interest from a few music journalists in the United States. The disc has received equal amounts of praise and criticism from reviewers and fans. “Fifty Pence Piece of Mind” can be purchased through a great site called www.cdbaby.com for the bargain basement price of ONLY $5 (before shipping). If you already have a copy of the Waiflike CD and you enjoy it, then you may write a review by clicking on the active icon below. If you don't have this CD yet, then you may read the reviews and listen to 2-minute samples of each song in order to decide if it is a CD that you would like to add to your collection. I'm still incredibly proud of this CD and I hope that you will consider purchasing a copy soon. I lead a low-key life. I have not achieved any commercial success but neither have many of the artists who I admire. The entertainment business is unpredictable. Nobody ever said it was a painless path and I have never listened to anyone's advice anyway. If I was offered a lot of dough to write some songs for commercials, then I would do it. Most of the songwriters and bands who I really respect are struggling and they either release their own discs or they are on insignificant independent labels. They are neither wealthy, nor are they well-known. I try not to waste time howling about how many discs I have sold or how much money I have made from gigs because I realize there are billions of bands and tons of run of the mill rubbish to sort through and only so much time in a day. Plus, there is no accounting for taste and no point in trying to impress everyone. I have tried and it is utterly useless. I try to please myself first, while being as generous as possible to the people who matter to me. Creidit: Layout made by Mishka

You're Ulysses!
by James Joyce
Most people are convinced that you don't make any sense, but compared to what else you could say, what you're saying now makes tons of sense. What people do understand about you is your vulgarity, which has convinced people that you are at once brilliant and repugnant. Meanwhile you are content to wander around aimlessly, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. What you see is vast, almost limitless, and brings you additional fame. When no one is looking, you dream of being a Greek folk hero.

What Your Soul Really Looks Like
You are a warm hearted and open minded person. It's easy for you to forgive and forget.

You are a grounded person, but you also leave room for imagination and dreams. You feet may be on the ground, but you're head is in the clouds.

You believe that people see you for how you are, not how you look. But deep down, you know that's not exactly true.

Your near future is all about change, but in very small steps. The end of the journey looks far, but it's much closer than you realize.

For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust. Inside the Room of Your Soul
You Are From Neptune
You are dreamy and mystical, with a natural psychic ability.
You love music, poetry, dance, and (most of all) the open sea.
Your soul is filled with possibilities, and your heart overflows with compassion.
You can be in a room full of friendly people and feel all alone.
If you don't get carried away with one idea, your spiritual nature will see you through anything. What Planet Are You From?
