(NOT affiliated

My Interests

Love, totems, animals, hugging Nessie the Alligator close to my heart, gemstones, healing, allowing the soul to shine. Writing. Drumming. Art. My cat who has just passed (Maya), my cat Daniel, my Boston Terrier Donovan, my Boston Terrier, Starla and my Amazing baby Egyptian Uromastyx Lizard, Silverado (He says calling him Silver is good!). Relaxing with my boyfriend Rich. Cooking. Watching the same comforting movies and sitcom reruns over and over and over and over....Singing. Writing songs. I write the songs that make the whole world sing. (Hey, he is a gemini too---hmmm! yes, I'm talkin' 'bout Manilow.)

I'd like to meet:

Tom Waits... charismatic story-teller with a penchant for freaky people and unusual settings. You thrive on the concept of the underdog coming out on top.

Music:

Yegads this list will be long. I will fill it in when I have the patience. Right now, suffice it to say the Beatles and Pooka....OK I have more time now. This will not be the complete list but I will just ramble on and see what I come up with: Donovan, Sharon Lewis (of course), Joni Mitchell, Tears for Fears, Aesop Rock (specifically the song No Regrets which never ceases to make me cry), Prince, Antietam, Missy Elliott, Black Sheep, Early Day Miners, David Sylvian, Steely Dan/Donald Fagen (OH JOY!), Tori Amos, Edie Brickell and New Bohemians, Pearl Jam's first two albums, Nirvana's first two albums, Hugo Largo, Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, The Flock (NOT the Flock of Seagulls, guys--the Flock from the 60's!With Fred Glickstein. That one.), David Bowie, umm, David Bowie, and oh yeah, did I mention David Bowie? (I kind of love him), Jeff Buckley, Ani Di Franco, Died Pretty, Adam Ant, Adam and the Ants, The Life Force Arts Ensemble, S.T.A.R. Sound Healing, Ricki Lee Jones............Palace Brothers!!!and much much much more. Oh Crikey, how could I have forgotten Scratch Acid, Elvis Costello, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Rich Miller, Waiflike, Brad Peterson, Jon Brion, the Ladies and Gentlemen, Tall Dwarf, Things in Herds, The Smiths, and ME. And newly realized/reminded, Mike Ruekberg. But wait--there's more....Jason Gagnon. Joe Goodman. Jerry Goodman. Mahavishnu Orchestra. Hop on Pop. Camp Lo. Nick Heyward. Al Stewart. Fred Glickstein. Crosby Stills Nash Young in no particular order. Tracy Chapman. Ben Harper. Apologies for any repetition. Steve Stelling. Jeremy Glickstein. Dave Miller. Bob Dylan. Rachel Walters. The Bluebottles. Alex DeForest. Did I say Frank Zappa? Oh well, it's worth mentioning twice. Mozart. Beethoven. Bach. Oh God--I almost forgot Al Stewart and Gerry Rafferty. And...did I mention Nick Heyward? and the Colourfield. And Cris Williamson. Any music hummed or sang during any Mel Brooks flicks. Early Day Miners. African drumming. Thea and Jason Keppe. Protostar. Rogue Star.

Movies:

Young Frankenstein and Silence of the Lambs would be my favorites in opposing genres. I have watched these two films repetitively with such utter devotion as I have never bestowed on any other. Harold and Maude is up there but I have to be in the mood to cry up a lung. (?) Oh gosh, I forgot to mention Pulp Fiction. There is something I really like about Travolta in his now hefty stage. But that is not the only thing I like about the movie. Miracle on 34th Street. A Beautiful Mind.

Television:

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I have the theme song almost entirely memorized. Oh those wacky Libras! The Nanny, the Golden Girls, Mork and Mindy. (Hey, Will Smith and Fran Drescher are both Libras. I guess I am truly entertained by these airy folk.) Monk. What not to Wear. Interior design shows. Will and Grace. Friends. Frasier. Nightcourt. The John Laroquette Show. The Carol Burnett Show. House Hunters.

Books:

A Wrinkle in Time. Agatha Christie novels. The Time Traveler's Wife. The Three Incestuous Sisters. All Madeleine L'Engle novels.

Heroes:

Animal Cops. And me and David Bowie, just for one day.
