The Rising is a promising young Houston-based rock'n'roll band with an innovative, original sound. This powerful four-piece features a guitar-driven modern rock sound with a funky, retro rhythm and blues vibe. Since June of 2006, The Rising has already made an impression on Houston. They’ve opened for some of Texas’ top performers like the legendary Johnny Winter, Doyle Bramhall,Back Door Slam, Carolyn Wonderland and Del Castillo. Demo versions of "Spanish Queen" and “Devil Eyes,†(a couple of the band’s originals) have enjoyed some airplay on some of Houston's and Austin’s radio stations.
The band's ultimate goal is to spread their music to every music lover around the globe so that everyone can enjoy their tunes.
